I was just lurking and came across this thread. Here We Go Again!!! my question to dualquadpete. What is up with starting up a thread that you your self admits to not having any validity. But a freind told you so ! I don't want to be rude but do you have nothing better to do than trying to stir the pot sort of speak. Just sayin we are gettin tired of the speculation and the friend of a friend thing. It is getting old real old.

I really don't think he'd be LYING to me by telling me what the MTO officer told him!!! Now did the MTO guy LIE to him to get POT STIRRED Who knows!!!! When it comes from an MTO guy, & I know my friend well enough to believe him, & thats "VALID" enough to me. I just passed it on, through the site, I'm not trying to "Stir the Pot" but if I had been told the same info & same situation, would you say it was still a "Unvalid" source or post???? I have talked to a few rat owners & they have heard the same & not from here,& are expecting it to happen!!!!

Whoa - Chill Dude....I asked the question during the daily "ask a cop" that Y108 (Hamilton Rock station)  has every morning. The answer, over the air by a senior vetran of the Hamilton police force was "No, it is perfectly legal AS LONG AS NOTHING IMPEDES THE VIEW OF THE LICENCE PLATE" This answer was heard by how many people that morning??

I'm simply reporting my findings is all

I operated a full serve gas bar and draw bars are hard on the knees. As are ladders resting on a tailgate taking your forehead when you are looking down for the hitch. Most things that hang off to take out pedestrians can hinder a safety insp.

You had better hope we don't get elected, because the MOE hot spot will be in Victoria Harbour and not in Port Perry anymore. biggrin

You can ask a cop or mto enforcement about rules/laws and their answer is "their personal interpretation" If you disagree out comes the book., if you still disagree you have to get a judges interpretation. As far as leaving your hitch in your receiver..I did that until a couple months ago,,went to change hitch and it was rusted in, would not budge and I tried various methods to loosen it, of course I was 600 miles from town so I had to pay a guy $30 to heat the receiver cherry red before the hitch would pop out,

Well I think that there should be a law that forces all pedestrians as well as gas bar attendants to wear full protective gear. This will include hard hat, knee pads, shin pads, steel toed boots, kevlar fluorscent jacket, gloves safety glasses, mouth guard, ear muffs and a dust mask. They should also be forced to take a course to teach them how to spot dangerous situations like ladders in trucks and draw bars.

Also, in that law I will force these idiots on bicycles and slow moving electric mopeds to get insurance and learn the rules of the road if they are going to use public roads to ride on.

Maybe I should run for MP in the next election ! Will I get your vote ?? biggrin

Well Just to let you know and you may not know this but untill it is written it is not law. So until it is or unless you really want to do somenting about it fugget about it. And yes you stir the pot even as far as cautioning other people about their rides on other posts on this site. It is almost as if you are infactuated with the other Guy stories. Just sayin

The only one stirring the pot my friend is you. Who are "WE"??? I recall other members here telling you the same thing. If you don't like the thread, or posts, than don't post in it or read it. I will speak for myself here, because I, unlike you, don't know how the others feel. I leave that up to them to express their views. That's why the forum exists. Telling a fellow member that your tired of their comments is rude in my books. Lets try the live and let live approach.

I have two balls ... one is larger than the other ... they do get cold when left out.

As far as the rat rod scene goes ... well, I heard the gov't is amassing a collection of 1973 Chrysler New Yorkers. The story goes that the gov't is going to drive around in these rather large cars and intentionally crash into any rat rods, in the process writing the rat rods off and thereby removing them from the roads instantly. No tickets, no court, and no warnings .... B A M ... and the rat rod is relegated to the scrap pile, no longer able to cruise the streets causing mayhem and bloodshed.

On a happier note, I was actually awake for my morning pee today :)
