What to do if you sold your ride?

So I met this guy that's got losts of cash and he likes my truck and wants to buy. Yes, Hemi43, even with the skirts! I actually set the price and he seems happy with the number, $15,000. It's more than I have in the truck and the truck is not finished, which he's fully aware of and I offered to throw in the new bed (still in boxes) and other small parts to finish it.

I like my truck but if you had your current ride sold for what your considered fair and you had the cash in hand, what would you buy?

If I found a decent 69 Firebird convertible I'd be happy or maybe a classic 50's street rod with a dressed up flathead!

if you mean a 69 Firebird Trans Am specially a convertible there s only ten of them makes it hard to find ..........a regular Firebird convertible is still a high price car but easier to find may be ?

what do you actually want? i would be in a quandary because of all my toys, my truck is the one i've always wanted and i put a really stupid price on if any one wants to buy it.

Make a list of the "rides" you'd like to have, then check out prices of what you can afford to buy, w/out going in the hole!!! Eliminate the the ones that are too much $$$ & buy the "best' one you can afford from your 'WISH" list!!!

If your into the $ sell around here 15000.00 might buy you a four door driver or a need of restoration muscle car. Around eastern Ont we dont get affected much by rescissions as there are lots of government workers that watch Barret / Jackson

Keep the truck and sell the skirts !!
$15000 won't buy much, and you'll just buy someone elses ride with it's own set of issues. Finish the truck and you'll be much happier in the end.

Deals are there if your buying, But selling is another story, if you have a 'firm" buyer.make up your mind before you lose him to ANOTHER seller!!! It's a "buyers market" right now!!!!

I'd buy a $10,000 driver, and build a $5000 off road buggy.biggrin

Tough call Splitter, you've put a bunch of work into that truck and have a vision of where you wanted to go with it.

Like I said at the fair Your truck is cool and done the way you want it done.If you buy something else make shure its what you want cause it will cost an arm and leg to change what someone else wanted into what you want .If you just want a change or have a use for the cash by all means sell it cause you might not get another chance but if you want something cool just look in the garage, you are already there, but you have to add the dagmars since you already have the skirts. to be really honest i wouldnt sell my children or my vehicles i have poured my heart and soul into.  selling a ride i spent endless hours building and getting to know every nut and bolt is not on the slate.  to date i have never sold something i have built, ever!  i dont think i ever will either

Back in 2000 I sold my 51 merc. P/up hot rodded truck. When i delivered it to the buyer I thought" What have I done"!!! The following week I was looking at a 64 Pontiac Catalina 2+2 & the Merc was gone from memory when I looked at the 2+2!! Within a hr. it was on my trailer & coming home!!!!! & as you know it's still here, turned out to be a great car & not afraid to drive it 'anywhere' !!!! AND I paid less for it than what the Merc. sold for & had some left over cash to some work that was needed!!! Now the 52 is another story, into it for "WAY TOO MUCH" after the build!!!

I sold a 68 Firebird I had for 22 years,,but I did not let it go until I had another project in the yard. If I sold my current ride I would get real busy to finish another project I have that currently gets very little attention

the bird was nice but then more started showing up in town and since I no longer had my children to haul around it was time to get something more practical and unique
