Started with Peel and Seal but found a product from RESISTO at my local RONA store called Multipurpose Aluminum Waterproof Membrane. I use the 8 inch X 33 Foot roll which was $34.00.
Great to work with using the hair dryer.

Going to have to look into that stuff. Thanks for the tip Will!

It has been a while since updating my Maverick build. It was a very long winter, but I did get a lot finished.
Original Interior back in place. Seat material dyed because it was faded almost white. Will do for this summer as I have a complete bucket seat interior to be installed this winter.
Sun old school tach.
AM only radio - old school S/W
Strut brace installed
Sub frame connector installed
Lakewood traction bars installed
Duel exhaust system built and installed - Doug Thorley headers, duel cats, X pipe, Magnaflow mufflers
Refinished A/R wheels from the 70's
339 miles and no trips back home on the flat bed CAA truck - yet.
Still a few adjustments and things to do, but hope to put the miles on this summer.

It was great first summer for my Maverick. Actually put 2300 miles on the car with no CAA calls for a ride home. It was different not to have to be to concerned about weather. Fenders, windows, wipers, heater and a hood makes for an enjoyable cruise.
The car is now back in my shop with winter plans for the Maverick LDO bucket seats install. These seats came from my 74 parts car.
The drivers side is fine, but on the passenger side of my 77 there is big bump in the floor to make room for the catalytic convertor. That bump will be cut out and replaced with the floor section from the 74 parts car.

The biggest problem with working on the floor, is removing the peel and seal that I so nicely installed. Let me tell you - this stuff REALLY sticks. However with a little heat and lots of scrapping I got cleaned away what is needed to do the work on the floor. There was some concern about this product giving off an odor when it got hot. Well, I never had a problem. There never was a tar smell. A great product.
The floor from the parts car to replace the Cat. bump.
A B&M Star Shifter will complete the floor work.
I will also work on a 8.8 Ford Explorer rear axle housing to replace the Maverick 8 inch unit. Likely will run a 3.73 or 3.55 gears. The 2.79 Maverick gear just does not cut it.
Should be a fun winter working in the shop.

I hate to be picky, but that hood sure looks like ,it needs a finish trim.
Gilles, I thought you might notice it still missing. I took it down from the wall a couple of weeks ago and held it up to the hood. Yes, it does need to be there! but it needs to be polished. I have not forgotten your offer to help. I will be in touch and bring it to you so you can work your magic.
