I just remembered something( which is rare) !! Go to a speed shop and get an adapter to go from your 3/16 inverted flare to 1/2-20. This is a standard item.

Here is the number for the nut you need from allstar which is where speed shops get their parts.

http://pitstopusa.com/i-5084129-allstar-performance-3-16-inverted-flare-nuts-1-2-20-green.html

Here is the adapters to install 3/16 lines to a dual master cylinder.

http://pitstopusa.com/i-8582494-allstar-performance-master-cylinder-adapter-fitting-kit.html

This is all standard stuff, but sometimes jobbers are too lazy to look it up.

I tried Performance Improvements and they said they couldn't help me, but I'll try again when the parts guy I deal with there is in. Apparentely Beatty and Woods is a Allstar dealer so I'm gonna try them first I guess. If that doesn't work out before the weekend scrapers here I come.

I'm doing a rear brake line on my 1990 cherokee. I can't find the fitting that goes into the proportioning valve. Its a 3/16" tube nut with a 1/2-20 thread. I can find it online in the states. I tried cisco but they told me it'll be 4 weeks or more because they just got they're order in, and the manufacturer fairview fittings does not sell to the public. Napa, Parts Source and Carquest have only the stock 3/8 thread. Any suggestions? Maybe a chrysler dealer? Or does anyone have this?

Here is a link to what I'm looking for.

Adapters should be available. What I used to do was cut the old fitting off the old brake line, clean it up and use it on new lines

I thought Part source should have it. Or try Canadian tire. might have some. I know same store , but CTC store usually have a repair shop. I know they fix lots of crusty stuff. Try asking at some smaller garages, I know the shops I used to work at had them. Can't remember where they got them from, but I know I used lots of them.

The napa guy tried to get all fancy with adapters. Do you happen to have or know a part #?

I just redid a 95 Sonoma, and they use that exact part. Just go to the wreckers and get one, or drive out here and I'll machine you one.

Sorry, the links above were not Allstar part numbers.
Here they are below. Just give Performance Improvements these numbers depending on which one you want.

ALL50114- This is just the nut, and you will have to re-flare your 3/16 tubing.

ALL41012- This is an adapter set to go from 3/16 male flare to 1/2-20 and 9/16-18

I'm doing it from a roll of tube so I will have to flare it anyways. I didn't realize PI carried allstar products. Thanks hemi43

your napa guy sucks. when i redid the brakes on my 55 with a newer master cyclinder ie as in metric. my napa guy handed me the case with all his adapters and fittings and said go to it. i brought in my master and splitters and figured out all my fittings front to back.

Ya to be honest it doesn't surprise me. Service from basically any place in the GTA is not great, compared to anywhere else in rual Ontario.

When I can't reuse a special fitting I go to Benson's and they have a box of all types and sizes of fittings and I usually find what I'm looking for, now that was a few years ago so?

Dual, time to get rid of that pic, a new one is coming.
