Got to Picton on Fri morning at 9:00 am in the 52 & were waiting for on coming traffic to pass to make left turn into resteraunt lot. A Van stopped behind us & left a space [thank God] just as I moved to start my turn, a lady in another van "PLOWED" into the back of the van behind us & shot it ahead!!! Lady's van was demolished, & had to be towed & the rear ended one was able to drive but sustained alot of damage!!! Some of our group were standing out side & watched the whole thing unfold & said she never even touched the brakes & may have been 'on the phone" WHEW!!! That was close!! Other than that & the speedo 'packing it in" may be a broken cable we had a great wknd. away with a group of friends [ 22 in all] 52 ran well & think it broke in some more as milage got better on this trip, 1/4 tank for 110mi. [12 gal tank] Pete

Oh the joys of driving buddy! I was rear ended in my daily driver 2 years ago, it was 7:15 am on July 22nd, i was facing northbound, waiting for oncomming traffic to clear so i could turn left, guy came up behind me doing atleast 60km's, veered off to the right at the last second, clipped the right rear of my '93 GMC p/u. I asked him wtf? He said he couldn't see my lights because the sun was in his eyes.....(remember we were facing northbound, the sun usually comes up in the east). Whatever...my truck got fixed but his brand new Hyundai Elantra was a write off! Ever since this 'event', i have notcied just how many near misses i have in regards to being almost rear ended. It really sucks anymore out there!
