Fat Chuk is right it was bought in St Marys and has been sitting for two years .Has been hot rodded 350 small block 350 trans and ford 9". The car only moved 2 blocks to its new home . Hope to have it done for the spring . Bryan
Pugsy I have retired from work so I can now work everyday on the coupe .But I know what you mean I have got caught up in projects before .this will keep me off the streets and out of trouble .hah
Off the streets ..maybe..Out of trouble ??? I doubt it..nobody works on projects like this and stays out of trouble...especialy OLD cement heads.....keep a pillow on your creeper..Bryan
Retirement helps a lot. If I had still been working the Torpedoback would still be in pieces, & no time for 'road trips" to get parts down south or Summit wknd trips to Ohio. If I was still working I wouldn't have bought the car either, needed a full time job in the garage & this did it!!!! This winter it's 2 lists of things to get done on the 64 Cat. 2+2 & the Torpedoback so I'll have to slow down to make it last!!!

Great find! Looks like you are on a good pace to 'gitter dun' for spring? A buddy of mine has been tinkering with a '40 Chev for a few years now- we think it will be good to go in the year 2020!

You sure your gonna be able to wrap the sheet metal around all that stuff your trying to get under it ..looks like it will be full in there..looks pretty but those fat fender cars just don't look good without fenders and yah need sumptin ta hang the head-lamps from ..
That serpintine system looks like it's gonna take lotsa-room where it comes to those pointy toed cow-boy noses....but looks like your doing some fine good work there Bryan..looks nice and neat and tidy..
If I measured right it will just will fit Measured before I took the sheet metal off
what was the measurement and taken where? whats under it for a rear end? hope i am not buggin you with ?'s, just curious as i have a 40 poncho coupe that will get its turn.
Rochie The rad was made by AFCO www.afcoracing.com/ and it was purchased from Speedway Motors www.speedwaymotors.com/ I have purchased a lot of product from them and it has been all good .They have a great garage sale section of sale items .
Rick The rear is a 9" ford with 3:50 gears in it . It was in the car when I bought it . If you have other questions just ask . Rick if you go to this web page it has all the info manuals from 1940 ,1941,1942 as well as many more http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/index.htm

Don't be surprised if you decide to upgrade to a power rack ... I went with a manual, wished I had gone power, sold the car after several years of ownership/driving (not because of the rack) and the new owner installed a power rack so it wasn't just me.
I spy an A/C unit too ... that is something else I wish I had installed when I built it.
