Rossini's Hot Rod shop was on Grand Ave. in Chatham and for years was a major dealer for most speed equip. manufactures. They also had a repair shop with a chassis dyno. For a while there was a 2nd store on Dundas St. in Cooksville[toronto]The Chatham location became Rossini Chrysler. Hugo[deceased] & Carlos [not well] ran the operation . The building is still there. Their mother and later their brother Bill ran the restaurant next door. The Rossini's sold the resaurant several years ago but it's still one of the best places in southern Ont. for a meal.

THE LOSERS are alive and well. You can check us out by reading our sticky at the top here and go to the club page. We are not for everyone by choice.

The club I used to belong to are also Losers, but they don't call themselves that.

There were some great car clubs in Windsor years ago. The Classmen, as Wayne mentioned ( I bought a '57 Ford out of that garage back in about 1966) The El Dragos, and the Tecumseh Pushrods (I wrote about both clubs in Canadian Hot Rods) the Injectors and a bunch of others.

Yes, Roadmates in Mississauga since 1956. 60th anniversary next year.
Duke Brown has been the President since Day 1.  He and his brother Tony and a few other guys started the club. We are still in the same building from 1956.
Rumours of MTO wanting to build a cloverleaf intersection at Dixie Rd may spell the demise of the building. But we have been hearing that rumour for 15 years.

Road Mates in Toronto, also.

anyone know the name of the car club that was in Galt east of Water St. and the river maybe on or off Highman Ave. Sort of west of the end of Ballantyne Ave.??

This would have been about 1960 to 1967

Thanks

TMJ

The Motor Lords were in Preston on Fountain St under the B/A service station. The are now located on Eagle St near Pinebush Rd.

I don't do clubs well so in the interest of allowing them to enjoy their fun I avoid belonging. I do however try and support them when ever I can. It is just the T shirt I have that says "does not play well with others."
