I was looking around on the web and came across a product that helps traction. Its called VHT trackbite. The problem is I cant seem to find it anywhere but jegs and its not letting me put my adress for shipping
I know there are a few racers here who might have a lead on where to get it. So I would appreciate a PM if anyone knows anything
Be careful with that stuff ... If it is what I am thinking it is, you are supposed to spray it on the ground/roadway/dragstrip and not directly on your tires.
Not sure what you need it for, but I think you might be better off either buying a really sticky street-legal tire or go all out and buy a set of slicks (on a spare set of rims for the track). With some of the tires they make now, I really can't see there being a need for traction compounds.
That being said, I don't know where to get it.

If at first you don't succeed you do have options ... lower your standards or just plain quit are the two I usually choose from :)
Most track "spray it " before a test and tune night or competition... I'd like to see a vehicle you have, that might need it btw.. I can get it shipped....
I,ve also seen it retailed in the States under the name , Trackshun Git , or kick a poo joy juice . I,ve used it on some old tires that dried out a bit , but really for consistency , new or even good used tires are better ..77.

I was reading that you could put it directly on your tires. My truck is no "race car" but at 3600 lbs with a stroker smallblock chevy, a 5 speed and no weight over the rear tires (gas tank is behind the seat) I figured it wouldnt hurt having a little more traction. Not horsing around with it, just dont have a few hundred bucks for extra tires as the ones I have on it work well now and have pleanty of tread.

it is used for traction, at a race track, for race tires (smooth)
Don't think it would "stay on" your "street" tires....
try a nice piece of 2x4 pine "under the gas pedal"
