1938 Chev half ton has step side, steel cab and box. Clean and painted. Old steel front fender and running boards. New fibre glass front fender and running boards. Extra grilles, dash panel, pedals, etc. Mustang rack and pinion 5 bolt discbrake front end. New 350 4 bolt 4 barrel. (GM factory internal parts). 350 turbo transmission. Camaro rear end, leaf spring drumbrake plumbed. Work was done at GM Dealer between 1974 to approx 1978. Has been in storage till 2011. Truck is now up for sale for 22,500 or ?? If it runs , I can see it selling for about $18 000 to someone in the rat rod scene. Not my style of rat rod but with a few tweaks it could look real good.
Considering what I see $10k would be a stretch and that would be FOB my door,,more like $7K but if there is someone with cash looking for instant gratification the seller wins..
I though the whole rat rod thing was about building some thing cool as cheaply as you can for the most fun. OH sorry now that it to has become trendy its all the same money ****. An $18,000 RAT ROD is an oxymoron.

Ya the minute the money finds something cool or fun the price goes up.As far as I am concerned if it costs more than $8,000 it isn't a rat .You can buy a nice finished car for that and a little more. Ed
The price he is asking might be a bit steep but if you compare it to what some of the guys in the states are asking they are about equal. It sounds like most of the hard stuff is done. I am thinking a realistic number would be between 10 and 12K
