HOGTOWN MEET
APRIL 20 - 21 , 2013

The second annual Hogtown meet will be held at my work place on the second last weekend in April this year.

I will bring all my shaping equipment from home but we could always use more shaping stuff such as ewheels, hammers, bags, stumps, etc.

I have manual shrinkers and stretchers and also the Baleigh power shrinker/stretcher to play with. We have enough TIG welders so we're OK there.

BBQ lunch will be served both days.
Both days we will get started at 9:00 AM and go until everyone's burned out or just sick of listening to me.

The meet will be held in the Markham Road/Finch Avenue area in Scarborough.

Hopefully, we'll be able to clear the shop floor of production items to have some space to fit a couple of cars inside.

If you have a large project let me know so as the time gets closer, I can see if we can have enough space for everything.

If you wish to attend please reply to this thread so I have an idea of how many are coming.

Thanks,

 Hi John.

We should have 2 sets.

You could toss them in your car. If we need more, you could then bring them in.

I would absolutely LOVE to come along if you'll have me smile

I have one small set of hammers, but they may still be in storage depending on the house situation. I should point out that I don't really have a clue what to do with said hammers, lol.

Is there a price for this meet, or is it a donation thing?

Also, I can give folk a lift from the Hamilton area if there's beer involved (I don't drink)

Dave.

I wouldn't be too worried about the legs myself ... getting my "unit" too close to the shrinker ... now THAT frightens me.

 Got ya down Dave.

Don't worry, someone should be able to tell you which end of the hammer to hold.

There is no cost but no one will stop you from dropping something in the hat either.

Alright, two more.

It's looking like we may get up to 30 guys this year.

Joe, I'll let you know if I need a hand. Probably better if you save some space in your van to bring them fenders or some other parts to work on.

Got ya down Mike.

Bead roll may be handy. Slip rolls, we got.

Mostly we need stumps, mallets and sand bags.

Of coarse, ewheels too.

OK I'll dig out my sand bag and mallet. What do you use for sand in your bags?  I know kinda dumb question but there are many varieties and some people use steel or lead shot.

Not dumb at all.

I've used sand, injection moulding pellets and lead shot.

I prefer the lead shot though.

I've heard humidity will rust your balls together though. Steel balls that is.
