This is a truck I found hidden in the bush for almost 40 yrs. It took my son and I 1-1/2 hrs to move it about 30' so we could later bring a car carrier to the site.
It now is stored indoors in pieces while I gather parts!
I found the rock inside amongst the dirt that took out the windshield and also some change from the late 30's to early 40's.
stock frame with tube frame from the firewall back, sbc stick or auto, 8.8 ford posi, 4 w disc, steel front fenders glass rears, going to use up some parts I have lying around. Thats the plan but things do change...

Are you going with the same fenders in glass on the rear or a different make/model/vintage? The truck looks to be in decent shape...they always do from this distance.

I'm doing things on the cheap so the plan is to repair the steel front fenders and go with glass rears. Had thought about no fenders but I have a 5 mile drive on gravel before I hit the pavement. Also the gravel is crushed granite and packs hard till it rains then it turns to mud . Not really interested in leaving in the sun then returning in the rain and mud..then spending lots of time cleaning the truck.

If you don't have a big compressor for sandblasting you have a good excuse to get one..that was my reasoning for getting this one.. Those rear fenders look repairable unless you are in a huge hurry but for the price of glass rears they do save a lot time. The full length running boards give the truck nice flow when the project is complete, I got a bigass upright compressor to minimize shop space
I do have an air compressor and sand blaster like yours. However there is only one rear fender and the r-boards sat on the ground for all those yrs and are kinda cheesy. I also have the time and good intentions just the ambition seems to be lagging as I get older...
