This is more like a project that was done like 8 years ago ..........i know the ain t to many 59 years driving around with loud stereo like 2800 watts this is how the car still look now 1993 ford probe ya i know it ain t a street rod but it can still reach the 3 numbers on the speedometer
I don't know man, I drive around with the radio loud but its less of a, look at me, attiude thing and more of a,huh, what did he say, hearing thing. Ed
Na Flatduck I like my sterio fine .It takes 8c type batteries and when I get where I am going I can put it on my shoulder and strut thru the car show,It even will play my cassettes but that wares the batteries down too fast. The only thing wrong with it is the little aireal is broken so it only plays local stations but that gives me a mix of music styles on a long trip so its all good. Ed
I can't stand the "thumping" bass those damn "boom box" things make. Ain't no fan of that damn rap garbage that gets "pumped" out of those systems. Rush, Van Halen, SRV, Boston, April Wine, Blue Rodeo, Def Leppard, Eagles, Jackson Browne, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Neil Young, Pink Floyd, Queen, Tom Cochrane and Red Rider, the Stones, the Hip, etc sound just fine on an "old school" stereo with nothing but 6x9's in the back (and some tweeters up front) ... any more is just taking up space.

If at first you don't succeed you do have options ... lower your standards or just plain quit are the two I usually choose from :)
Most effort and expense I put into a sound system. 8 speakers, 1200watt, all hidden under factory panels in a Caprice wagon. All speakers were in sealed boxes so it wasn't rattling sheetmetal like most tin can Honda's with a sub in the trunk. I was very happy with, it sounded nice and was not loud just for the sake of being loud.
