"How do you make realistic shadows with Photoshop?"

That would be difficult to explain but basically involves clone stamping.

Not to derail the thread, but thought i would post this picture. I went to a Good guys show in Norwalk Ohio, and I remember this guy taking my picture as I drove by. A few months later, I found the picture below that someone had painted and was trying to sell. Sorry for posting it here Beachcat, but seeing your artwork somehow reminded me of this picture.

Here a link; I have no idea who the artist is, but would be cool to find out.

How much time is there involved in doing something like that?? Would make an awesome screen saver, or even blown up into a poster !!

That depends a lot on the images that are sampled. Can take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours to do it properly.

Thanks. I'm a Prowler guy and most of these are done for the Prowler crowd. But I can place any car in any setting

I use Paintshop Pro. Very similar to photoshop, but takes less time to load up, lol.

These programmes are HUGE, and we generally only scratch the surface of their capabilities.

I use layers, which means you can easily cut out an image, like the Prowler above, then place it on top of another layer, like a background.

The tricky part is integrating it into the new background, with reflections and shadows, so it doesn't look out of place.

Both programs come with a pile of standard "effects" which you can easily add on, some work well, some don't, but it's all about experimentation.

It's a great tool for trying on new wheels, or changing your car colour without costing a fortune in paint.

Nice work Beachcat, and yes, we all need boobs.

I took that 50 chevy shot with my iphone and a clip-on fisheye lens called an Olloclip.
