The Hot Rod RVRacers and other long-distance cruisers know the benefits of traveling in a motorhome with all the comforts of home, but we've never seen one quite like David Tucci's hot-rodded RV. Tucci bought the bus-originally a '70 Starcraft Cruiser-for $1,000 and had Jason Roshforth render a custom design. Then Tucci built it at his shop, Tucci Engineering (888-TEI-RODS). Sitting on a Chrysler motorhome chassis with a 136-inch wheelbase, the RV is 19 feet long and has several custom touches, including two sets of '92 Ford F-150 headlights and a Tucci-designed wraparound grille. There's a retractable awning that makes it easier to watch the hidden 17-inch LCD TV mounted behind a flamed body panel. There's also a rear awning that extends out to cover a flip-down tailgate containing a gas grille and utensils. The inside is plush in black leather, with solid cherry cabinetry, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a complete home-theater system. The engine is a stroked (to 408 ci) 360 Mopar hooked to a TorqueFlite automatic with a Gear Vendors overdrive, and Air Ride bags drop it all on the ground. Very impressive....and I can appreciate all the hard work that went into this unit, but I'm still hooked on the classic look

This was the camper that Dave Tucci had built, pretty sure this was a European machine,not a Dodge...

This is mine. 1976 GMc, front wheel drive, Olds 455, rear air bags, 26' long.

 10 MPG is no worse than what you would get with a new motorhome. Like I said in my original post, I would love to restore one but I know it would have to be a labour of love because you never get your money back out.

I thought they were all glass !!! I like them even more now !

Go check them out!
They are just up the road from you on Prestonvale in Courtice, just south of the South Courtice Arena. Take Coutice Road North from the 401, first left onto the south service road west and just keep going about 3 kilometers....he's on the right hand side.
