saw a few booths with sign stating that this would be their last time vending. I felt sorry for the guys way in the back with no one around them.

The truck is my Father-in laws.... original chassis but hot rodded old school with bags. easy on the eyes too...unless the sun glare from the chrome catches you off guard

On Saturday I came back to my booth to find Haney having his lunch with my wife! A guy walking by started to bitch about the $5.00 parking fee and Haney replied that he had to pay for parking where ever he went so whats the difference... I bit my tongue. At least he didn't hike the vendors booth prices again to make up for the lost revenue. We can only hope someday a rodder takes it over. Haney is shooting himself in both feet while digging a hole for the flea market.

here is perhaps the best tool i have ever purchased, a hydraulic flaring kit.  it does standard flare, bubble, gm style push on, fuel lines and a couple other things.  where did i buy it?  barrie!  it was 250 dollars but even the ebay kit with less dies and functions was over 350.  i did a couple of flares and they are perfect and so easy.

If you had seen the 40's chevy military wrecker in the brown field we were one row over in the Gold field at the back side of the beer tent. The fall we'll be in Gold row P

I remember seeing you looking at the stuff at my booth. You had 2 wagons behind you at one point.... You bought some scrap aluminum rims from me years ago at Barrie. I noticed that there were many of the regular guys there again this year but not all were vending.I'll speak up next time!

We're thinking about checking out this show...and we also talked about the lindsey swap meet too. everyone has been talking about the $5 parking, we also found out the price for a shower for a vendor doubled this year... and on our way out everyone was held until 3:00 and could not leave...Well until someone called the cops and threatend to have Hainey charged with holding them and not letting them leave...The gate opened as soon as the 2 cop cars pulled in.

Why does this Haney guy remind me of that old shyster of the same name on Green Acres?

Saw the wrecker .... pretty sweet ride. That thing looked like it would go just about anywhere. I probably walked by you a dozen times and looked at the truck.

Have you even been to the Lindsey meet? Thinking about it whenever their next show is.

Highway robbery upping the price for showers. This guy is really pushing people away. And to not let anyone leave until 3pm? Out of his mind !!

I couldn't believe how bare the place looked. I'd say at least 1/3 of the vendor spots were empty. I'm always on the main gravel rd at the back of the gold field but I'm thinking I may have to move closer to the front if the place loses any more vendors. Attendance was definitely down I hope the place doesn't go any farther down hill than it has in recent yrs. We did our average in sales so I can't complain there. 8 yrs ago when we started vending there it was hard to even get a spot! GREED really F**** things up!

I went to barrie on Friday and let at least 3 attendants in the parking area know I was pissed with the $5 charge. I also heard many others voicing their opinions to the parking people. even heard one attendant in a serious argument.

My buddy Ron has 8 spaces in the fall and several in the spring. He talked to Haney on Friday and asked him if it would cost anything to put an announcement on the public address system. Haney asked him what he wanted on the PA. Ron said he wanted to offer anyone who came to his space and bought something over $10 their $5 back that they paid for parking.

Haney's response was " I guess we blew it on that one, we have had a lot of complaints"

Maybe a light at the end of the tunnel. But the only way to get thru to them is simple, dont show up next time. I wont be there in the fall. Let them know you're pissed

HIT HANEY IN THE WALLET!

We need to all email him and tell him what we think

info@burlscreek.com

Can someone start an online petition that our group can sign and send?

Met a guy on the weekend from Orillia that conducts the 50/50 tickets/draw, he said the 50/50 sales were way down also.

I vended for the first time this year. Sold 90% of the car parts i brought. 32 Ford grill. Boyds wheels. Dual quad intake with carbs and scoop. Plus a ton of mustang parts. Guess i brought the right parts. Even though i sold all that stuff, it wasn't the crowd i Expected.

Wife wants to go again though....expensive....but we had fun

Heard lotsa bitchin about the parking money.

I see some of the members are not up on AACA Lindsay swap meet so here is link to their web site. lindsayantiqueautomotivefleamarket.ca/
Also I was told AACA are in talks with the Lindsay Fair board on making it a three day event now. Seeing the venders setup days are Thursday and Friday AACA are all ready set up at that point. The extra sales day would only effect the fair board so they need their approval I would think.
This was all started by the venders asking for the extra day seeing how well things went the first year at Lindsay being a major success. The numbers tell the story 462 vending sites filled over 120 cars in the car corral and over 500 cars in the show field in the two days. See you in Lindsay.
