Looking for some sponsors to help donate products for the "1st Annual DJ's Auto-Blair Rendell Memorial Car Show" in Greely (Ottawa), Ont. The show will be held on Saturday June 8, 2013. This is our first year and we want to get your companies name out there while making our show better by giving out your products to the all the car guys and girls who come to our show. You'll have to do what all my club members did when we did our show, get out & pound the pavement!!You'll get lots of refusals, times are tight etc. but you may hit the odd one that will. Sometimes it pays to go off course & approach some 'non Automotive' sector as well!! You need "local sponsors" ones from out of your area, will not be willing to put out money for no possible return in business & thats whats it's about for them. Believe me 'been there,done that & gave away lots of shirts"!!!! Pete

Hit up places like OPG, Hydro One, Public Utilities. They have a budget for donations to local events. My wife works at Community Care and I used to pick up gift baskets or framed prints for thier raffle every year.
Jeff hit the local Liberal MPPs they love old cars. Just there way of giving our money back to the community. Also the city counselors they also have a donation account.

Places like NAPA, OK Tires, local auto dealers, etc...usually are open to donating to those events. It's tough to get shows started, but once you've made a few contacts, it becomes a lot easier. Get a hold of Old Autos, post on their event schedule, also ask them for possible sponsor or leads.
