I've decided to go with a t bucket. its my first build and i figured its the easiest and probably the cheapest way to go. just tryiing to get my foot in the door. i wanted to post my build on this site step by step to peak some interest and mabye get a few ideas... started my chasis 3 weeks ago its a 2x4 contruction loosely based off a model A. im going to have a kick up on the rear to contour to the body just incase i decide to make it a highboy.
got all my frame slugs done today... running hairpins on the front and rear, should look pretty cool. im thinking of channeling the body only half way (2") that way you will see the same amount of chasis along the body. cant find any pics of a t like that not sure how it will look but i guess i can always go lower...
thanx guys... yes i have the body its a glass body. and its going to have quarter eliptical on the rear with shocks and is going to have a spring behind set up on the front with hairpins all around... i've got a '83 s.b.c out of a trans am (305) and a 700r4 out of a camero.. 9" ford with 3:55 ratio
got the kick ups done on the rear finally... i had some work to do on my engine thus the delay... heres some new pics, hope to have the rear end set up by next week then assemble and get it home...
thanx guys.. its hard to find the time to get any work done with being a new dad and a full time job but hope to have it on the road late summer early fall. ya it was at lucky 7 i work there now...
I would reconsider the 83 305. Start looking for at least an earlier block say 1969 or older. This is to aid in any MOE issues that might arise after its complete.
