Interesting snow blower on that crawler, they must get into DEEP drifts with the height of those drift cutters!!

That 5 window coupe looks like it has a 265 in it, by the exhaust manifolds.

Few more pics of our SUV from the accident that got me started on collecting old pictures while I nursed my wife back to health as I was confined to her for 24 hrs a day for 3 months this collecting pics was my job for about 4 months between meals, washing, house work and nurse..

That was sept 09 and she is still in therapy, but she lived and is pretty good considering 23 broken ribs, broken sternum, back fractured in 4 places, broken leg and severd patela and tendons in left knee and and broken right ankle..and a brain injury which she still has some struggles with things and memory but we been married 53 years this august and she is just as nasty now as she was then.. biggrin no

Great post Chuk. These pics are all from around the Windsor area. Some are old "ElDragos" cars and some are "Tecumseh Push Rods"

more to come:

I think I have some more pics of that blower in action..Problem is These are just from thousands of pictures that I collected from the net over the last several years and they are not organized so they are just random..back in 09 my wife was in a really bad accident and was in the hospital for 4 months with massive internal injuries and when she came home she was in a body brace fron her neck to her pelvis and reqired full time care for the first 3 monnths ,that meant I had to wash her, feed her, put her on the toilet, wash her private stuff as she could not bend or move anything ..my hobby became collecting old pics and scanning all my own old pictures and many friends new I collected old pics of almost anything from times gone by they were sending me stuff, so I accumulated thousands and thousands of these pictures during her recovery and they are not in any particular order..I still have several boxes of old pics I scooped from yard sales to get scanned and added..so sorry they are scrambled but I still think they are cool to look back I tried to collect mostly stuff that al least had pictures of old cars, gas stations, but then I just collected anything old..cause I am old..So that is why they are just a collage of old pictures of time gone past..as long as people are liking them I will just keep adding them may take a year to post all the pics I have ..please feel free to add to the thread with any old pictures you have ... some pics of our vehicle after her accident..This is what a tree can do to a SUV..

Certainly! Be my guest Chuk. Here's some more. I did stories in Canadian Hot Rods about both of these clubs a while ago, but wasn't able to use all the pictures.

The little black Cabriolet started out with a '56 Merc 312 then went to dual quads then a Buick with a blower on it. Ran 98 MPH in the quarter with those skinny little tires. More to come

Most old Hot Rodders know this car - it's George Fitzios' car and he's owned it forever!

Andy Cunningham's '34 from the Canadian Nationals in '73. This and the shot of my T Bucket a:

The T Bird Deuce, back in about 1957:

and in 1972:

The Push Rods (Bernie D's "Golden Rod" Packard Patrician power and very fast:

He beat Konnie Lalitta at New Baltimore Michigan with this car! Kalitta had a full race Willys coupe and Bernie drove to Michigan.

Ted K's 34:

Sorry! That didn't work out right the car that I said was Fitzios' was actually a pic of Richard Naklie's car. Here's George's car:

Just clicked on the wrong pic. Here's some more - you gett'n tired of this yet?

This is the same deuce roadster that was in an earlier pic with the fenders still in place. They were made to come off quick and easy for drag racing.

I think thus chopped '40 Chev just turned up in the Dundas area recently. The new owner had previously found and fixed one of Richard Naklie's old roadsters! Amazing.

Another shot of the deuce with the removable fenders. See the curved glass windsheild? Way ahead of their time!

Chuk, If you think you have any pics of these cars, please let me know - most of these guys are still around and some are still Hot Rodding - they'd love to see more pics of their old rides! Thanks for posting this - it's a great way to spend some quality time. Boy you and Diane (it is Diane, right?) have had some tuff times.

Thanks Mike for posting them.. I can't say for sure that I have any pics of those cars..I have 4 or 5 thousand already on my hard-drive and some on disc's from using my lap-top and trying to get them all in one place is time consuming ,fun tiring, great way to pass some time ,I can just get lost in my mind trying to imagine what some people lived and just to be able to almost see a stunning evolution of the automobile in my lifetime is amazing.. I can't beleive just how many kinds/modes of transportation there were ,I guess I am a little hooked on the past..life is going to fast wish I could just slow it down.. wish I could be a hot rodder with a young back for long while yet. Diane is recovering well, she is going on 5 years now cancer free, and is is doing as well as she ever will from the accident ,we have good ones and better ones, .. We all have struggles I have followed some of yours.. I am pretty sure non of us is getting out this world alive. I'm not in any hurry ,still having more fun than pain that's good..I will kep chukin through them and if I find anything I will get em up..take care Mike

That truck hauling the load of pulpwood appears to have "Blitz 6" on the hood.

Never heard of that, if it was a truck, or engine type.
