I am located 15 miles north of Kingston, Ontario. I do not have a website, instead I use a blog which I may manage without any hassels of programing, expense, etc.
I have been in business for over seven years. I have completed Jeff Norwell's Diamond Deuce which was featured on the cover of Rod and Custom. My Deuce was just featured on the March 2013 cover of Street Rodder. I have advertised in Old Auto's for numerous years. So where have I been, probably driving my Belly Tank at Bonneville or at the nostalgia drag races where I was one of the sponsors of the ONDR.
Search Candy's Hot Rod Supply and I think you find some information.
If anyone wishes to stop by the shop, send me an "email or call" to make sure I will be there, the door is always open !
Cheers, Neil...

Must be me but I had never heard of you ..Hmmmm!!! guess I need to get out more often..One thing I noticed perusing your web/blog under the candy-mans favorites was no link to Ont Rodders..no Mention ..Since you are advertizing your stuff on here it seems to me that a link and mention of the place to be to informed of goings on in Ont rodding is Ont Rodder..Hope the next time I check your site out I will find a link to Ont Rodder..Thanks for taking care of that ...Great site and nice looking projects by the way..
Guys its a legit shop, builds some really cool stuff, and is offering deals for people ordering stuff from south of the border. Perhaps no one has herd much about him, because of when he posts somewhere...he gets this kind of welcome!
......lets try and support local hot rod businesses where we can, especially good ones like his.

I wasn't questioning the legitimacy of the shop, I just want more info because it would be great to be able to get parts without having to drive to the border. More info would be great !!Kingston is a whole lot closer than Buffalo !!
I absolutely did not understand your post??? I did not see any post on here that was derogatory.. or offensive..what do you read?? we got our shorts on a bit tight to-day??
Neil, think i saw a bit of coverage about your'e belly tank at bonneville on another site, last fall? Post some pics and info about it here, i'm sure the group would enjoy seeing it.
Well Neil, welcome to the site, I have a few friends in the Kingston area, which are rodders also. My wife is from Kingston. I'll be heading there for May 24th weekend, which oddly enough is the weekend after the long weekend. I wouldn't mind stopping in and saying Hi! As I will quite likely take you on with your offer, I would love to support local people, this way I see where my $ goes. I'm from the Kitchener area, where are you at, 15 mins north of Kingston ? Battersea ?
I've delt with Neil He's a knowledgable guy, always has time to help you out with your projects and a talented fabricator. He always stands behind his sales and supports the hobby. Check out his Belly Tanker, and Mothers Worry drag car.

I certainly understand the caution we have to have these days !
"Gazoo" : You are very close, I am just north of Inverary.
If you are using a GPS: 1337 Norway Road and use "South Frontenac" (Municipality) as the town. Do not take a route around the north side of Sydenham Lake, if your GPS attempts to take you that direction ! I had to resecue a customer two years ago on the north side of the lake. :) :)
(From the 401 at Kingston : 15 miles north on Division Street which is also Cty Rd # 10, left onto Wilmer Road as you enter the small town of Perth Rd Village, take your first right onto Norway Rd, I am the first driveway on the left, 1337 Norway Road)
Just call a few days ahead of time as I may be out, espically the summer weekends...
when i read the post the parts that stuck out to me was "Must be me but I had never heard of you", and "no link to Ont Rodders..no Mention ..Since you are advertizing"
no harm no foul.....i guess im used to the HAMB welcome's...lol

Thx again guys, Neil...
Awesome, I know exactly where you're at, I'll call and PM you before a couple days before a head up. Looking forward to it, you likely know my friends.
Unless I am mistaken, Candyman actually joined this group back in January of 2012!! He may not have made many posts, probably was afraid of the reception he would get, just like this time! Welcome Neil, nice to have your talent on board!
The trouble with words and how we spell them can often be percieved much diferent than the writer intended.. "never heard of you ..Hmmmm!!! guess I need to get out more often.." I was thinking in my mind that for the last too many years other things of life changes have come to visit, so for too many years I have not attended or kept up with much and I logged onto Neils blog and poked around and was impressed nice work..and I like to see a Canadian small business sucess story , made a note to go back and read his blog more than just the first page. I had no malice of thought..My last remark was "great site and nice looking projects".. Then I read his favorites and thought it would be cool if he linked us and I meant it in a what I thought was a jokey way..but I can see, when I re-read it, it could be taken a couple ways.. Anyway no foul no harm.. my apolligys if I was rude.... I usualy skip rude and go right nasy
Axeually I think I bought a fuel cell and drag car seat belts from this seller a few yrs back . Very good prices an cheep shipping fee,s . Delivered right to my house . Way way cheeper the P I ..77.

All good here! I was at Neil's shop last year, amazing! He has a couple of well known Hotrods himself. He's also currently building a Hotrod for a mutual friend!
Yea....... Well he rescued my Diamond Deuce truck from DISASTER...(Rod and Custom cover car Jan 2011 issue) and was just seen in a full feature(streetrodder magazine March 2013)Cover as well. He runs a Jimmy 302 Bonneville bellytanker(mothers worry) and a full on 392 hemi drag sedan--30 a ford.....yea... this dude knows his ****. For the BEST deal on parts and build services...from small jobsd to full builds..at 37 bucks an hour.......You cannot go wrong.
Neil is simply the BEST. Hotrodder, dragracer and Bonneville pilot,....Neil does it all.......... PERIOD.
You would go bankrupt real fast trying to run anything for 37 bucks an hour in this area. Between insurance and the tax natzi's most of that would be eaten up.I think the only thing they haven't got a hold of yet is a poo tax .Although they charge you for the water to fill the toilet and again to flush it and if you want to wipe there's tax on that luxury.
what a coincidence i saw the girl that played candy on american graffiti at megaspeed, nice to see shes branching out and hauling parts across the border for people. busy girl indeed
Oh ya!, By the way Neil, I met up with one of my friends from Kingston (Odessa) at Saturday's Classic Car Auction at the Int'l ctr. He knows you quite well actually. He says he talks to you regularly at the cruise nights and what not. He also says nothing but good things about you. Can't wait to meet you!
Cheers.

Here's my two cents as well, the minute you meet Neil you will instantly like him, yup he's that sort of guy! Have a look in some of the works in magazines in the past couple of years and you will most definitely appreciate his quality of work, you cannot get a better deal than his offerings in Ontario. Hope to see you in Stirling in a few weeks Neil, I will be in Ottawa the week after next for the new car show, thought I'd be there for the weekend but with a forgotten wedding that my wife is attending I will be there Sunday. Drop by and we will catch up. Chris.

We also have a old time, round top, louver press... The Louvers are very much of a 50's style and are approximately 2 3/8" wide from edge to edge.... $1.00 per louver if you remove the metal bracing and paint, etc.... These louvers are not an industrial style !
Sorry I never made it over to your great looking booth this weekend Neil, ended up being a Sunday player only had forgotten completely about the weeding we had to attend Saturday. At any rate, made it to Ottawa, painted some panels for charity and thought I'd completely missed you. Turns out that when Dave and I ended up in a quaint little hometown restaurant in Perth we look up and who appears but the legendary Candyman and his lovely bride. Was very nice to meet up with you and hope to do so again in the future.... Chris.

Actually Chris I totally forgot that Dave said you would be in the panel jam on Sunday. I should have made it over again, as I did miss you early Sunday, as I had a few items for Jeff and yourself.
Picked up my car (Dog Spit) yesterday from Neil's. He did the wiring, hydraulic lines, pop off valve and some rad fittings. Work is incredible, attention to detail beyond description and reasonably priced to boot. I couldn't have picked a better person to deal with and I thank Neil for squeezing me into his fully loaded schedule. If Jeff Norwell's coupe didn't have to go out for paint, I would have missed this rare opportunity to have this work done so perfect. Took the car directly to the upholstery shop. I will update the 'Dog Spit' build site soon.
