For those who were familiar with Noel, he had an act for seaching out pre-48 Ford parts and great fella' to purchase parts from.
Last week I reveived a call from his wife Alice, who advised Noel became sick very quick and lost his short one month battle, due to complications of cancer. I spoke to Noel shortly before he became sick and appeared to be doing great as usual, as we were complaining about the weather....
I believe Noel was in his late 50's.
God Speed Noel and enjoy Ford Heaven ! You will be missed buddy !
I didn't know him, but it's always sad when we hear this news, he was a friend to many in the hobby, and a husband who is gone way to soon. I am of the age where I have spiritual experieces when I hear these happenings when they known good friends and I sit and let my mind wander back I realize just how old I am.. I am only a day away at any givin time.. RIP
my family dealt with Noel for years even when he was north of Whitby in Brooklyn. Always had a ness of 32 stuff around when I was a kid and Neil, I think you'd maybe be surprised but Noel was just in to his 66th year.
Had lunch with my 84 year old friend today, and he wasn't aware that Mr. hamer had just passed away. He vended with him for years and sold him a number of 32 parts over the past.
I passed his place for years when he had it north of Whitby, every weekend going to Orillia. We used to call it Hamers Ford Farm.Oddly enough the only parts I bought from him were for my old 56 Pontiac. He sure knew his parts. Ed

Your comment is so ironic - such a co-incedence! My lasy name is Hamer and I own "Fordy Acres Car Farm" . I have buddies that have uttered the very same phrase: "Hamer's Ford Farm"!
Once again, condolences to the family and friends that knew him. I would have loved to meet him myself, if only I knew him.

Use to stop off at Hamer Auto Clinic to look at the cars on my way to Fenelon Falls. Still remember a 55 chev convertible they had. Had a rust hole above the drivers side rear wheel well. Sure wasn't worth the $900 they were asking for it!
Wow. I just came across this post. I have a pampered survivor Grabber Green 1970 Boss 302 purchased new in Ajax by a gentleman from Whitby. This car was registered to Hamer Auto Clinc twice in June 1981 and April 1988. It was sold to a Mr Ron Hasted in 1981 from Hamer, and in 1988 sold to a gentleman in Quebec. I looked hard to find a contact for Hamer Auto Clinc 14 to 12 years ago without success. Good to know the name Noel Hamer and that this was a used performance car perhaps along the lines of Legendary Auto in Halton Hills. Sounds like Mr Hamer had good taste in cars since he bought this car twice. Sorry to hear he is gone.
