I am going to Calgary about September 28. We will leave Windsor and take the US route to Montana and cross back into Canada at Sweetgrass. We will go north to Wetaskiwin, Alberta, back to Calgary and through Banff and the Kootenays, south to # 3 and west to Osoyoos, north to Peachland, west to Merritt and south to Hope. from there to Vancouver, North Vancouver and to the Island on the ferry from Horseshoe Bay. The return trip is not yet mapped out but it will take in Jasper, Lake Louise, possibly Revelstoke and back to Calgary and home but not sure yet of the exact route. We should be home by about November 3. There are 2 of us in an Equinox to Calgary and 4 from Calgary until we return there so room is somewhat limited. Contact me if I can help you out.

Grumpy
Thanks for the info Grumpy. Revelstoke is on the list of "not enough time" but we will sure keep this info in our file. We did a 9 week trip west last year but we really got sidetracked .............. ended up at the Arctic Circle, so maybe we can add some more miles and time this year !
Several months ago, I had a part shipped to Storage Central in Buffalo. When I passed by, the part had not arrived and so it now still sits there. It is a header flange so it's not very big or heavy but they will not mail it to me. I seldom if ever get down that way since I am at the other end of the lake. I was wondering if any one is going that way some time, could pick up the part and either mail it to me or I could pick it up from you. They are just off 190 by the Anchor Bar at 291 Ellicott St, Buffalo, just 7 kms from Canadian border crossing. I will certainly pay for any expense incurred. There is no hurry since they hold it forever.
I wish I had known about this a couple of weeks ago. I just returned from Nashville yesterday and came right through Buffalo. If I had known I would have picked it up for you.

anyone headed west to calgary or beyond i have a pick-up needing a lift out. it is going to kelona b.c. but calgary would be a good start. anyone thinking of buying something out there could pick up all or most of their fuel bill for the whole trip. rick
I will also, be heading to Nipigon/Thunder Bay Area this summer. Haven't set a date yet. Empty pickup truck going north and partially empty coming south. Can go either hwy 11 or 17 on the way north, prefer Hwy11 on way south as towing car back. Probably in July, Staying Thunder Bay about a week. Also, shotgun seat is still empty.
