Is this open to any "modified" Chevrolet's as well, or only originals need apply?

Wonder if they're going to have a Canadian Forces jet making an appearance (fly in, fly out). I was at a car/plane show at Downsview airport (Toronto) a couple of years ago and an F-18 Hornet flew in and parked right near the cars on Sat, then fired up and flew out on Sunday, plus the (now closed) air museum was open too. Made for a really cool couple of days.

Hi! We also have this posted on our website: http://www.willschevrolet.com/dealership/news.htm

It's the same information I have posted. If you would like to register, send me an email with your vehicle model & year.

I don't think there are any plans for flights that day. There is going to be a unique opportunity though: for a $5 donation to the museum you will be able to take a photo of your vehicle in front of 1 of 3 different aircraft aww

Was that at the "wings and wheels" show? I had my car there and Old Auto's television did a piece on it. That was a great show !! They actually brought out a MIG 15 from the hanger, fueled it up and took it out for a flight. This may have been 2-3 years ago.

This is a separate event than Wheels & Wings (although I believe they are still having that show in August)

Yes it was the Wings and Wheels show.  The museum at Downsview was shut down (or given its eviction notice) in Sept of 2011, so it would have been the 2011 show that I attended.  There was no MIG flying that year, just the F18 Hornet so I'm betting you were there in 2010.

Sorry, not trying to derail the original post ... just mentioning that the F-18 experience was awesome and hoping something like that will happen in Hamilton.  Seeing the planes on static display is one thing, being close to one of those beasts and seeing it fly is something else entirely.

I had to move out of the way as they were wheeling that Mig 15 out of the hangar at Downview. Almost got hit with the wing tip. They fueled it and fired it up right it front of us, and taxied out to the runway and did a couple of fly by's. Awesome. There were planes flying non stop. And yes this would have been 2010.

Planes and cars....can't go wrong.

Hey Hemi,
I'll give you a ride in my Chevy truck so they'll let you in.
Just bring a jacket, it might be a bit cool in the back...

You just want me to tag along so I can help you push it if you need to back-up !! I hope you're going to get that tranny fixed before Syracuse. I spoke to Big Ed about it yesterday and he said to drop if off.

All kidding aside, it's great to see dealerships supporting our hobby!
Hope you have a great day and great turnout. At this time, my calendar is open for that weekend, I'll mark it down.
