anyways i have a two barrel carb on my rat truck engine, i noticed the other day it was flooding at idle somewhat and gas would drip into the engine when i shut it off.  i dont have the engine on the angle it was on whe it was in the buick so the carb leans forward.  being a carter BBD carb, the floats work in such a way the carb must be level or at least leaned back, leaning forward made the floats not shut the needle valve.  some minor adjusting of the floats solved the problem.
