I'm looking for the parking brake levers that attract the cable to the shoe inside the drums. Part acdelco 179-2012, and 179-2013. These are not made anymore, and seem impossible to find, as they were rarely replaced.
these were very common axles on all early gm astro's s10's and mid sized Chevys.
msg me with details if you k ow where I can get these.. I have called aftermarket locations, and a few auto wreckers.. Most wreckers strip and scrap the brake hardware.
John..I am pretty sure I have some of those in the shop..Lots of farmers that I have worked for over the years never wanted to fix the e-brake and I just kept tossing them into a box of old brake parts..I am sure I have them..What I am not so sure of is if they were different sizes for a full size pick up or not..I will check my box of brake stuff in the morning..I will post a pic when I find them for you..I think left and right are different..I think I even have some new springs..but I am not certain..I do suffer from sumtimers..

yea i see it on ebay as well...most of the people wont ship to canada for some reason, or want $40 a piece, plus $40 shipping...for that price ill buy an entire axle off kijiji...

Ok..But they are all from Chevys so if your in the neighbourhood and want to look closer your welcome I also have a Chev rear end in the barn form from a mid 80s Chevy pk-up..That still has the drums on it I think..I expect I stay home on Sunday as It's moms day and the children make their pilgrimage to bring goodies for mom..
