This weekend Picton airport.Agreat event .See there website Armdropdragracing.com.Saturday-Saturday-Saturday-be there.Race your buddies, show your car or show your bike,a really fun event. Ed
What do you "need" re safety stuff, to run your car?? Is there a TECH lane??? Wouldn't mind running the Torpedo back for a pass!!!
A tech lane?? now thats funny. Next to nil for tech. Need a puke can for the rad. Gas in the tank. Helmet if you go to fast. If you have windows, then roll them up. Can run water or coolant. Lots of regular street cars run. Some are plated, some are trailered some are full blown resto's. Drag slicks or street tires, doesn't matter. hell, you can use bias ply tires. RUN WHAT YOU BRUNG!!!

$20 gets you in as a racer, $5 as a spectator. Food vendors and portables on site. You can bring you own food/beverages. NO alcohol, no camping. races start at noon till 6pm. Think the gates open at 10am. Address is 343 County Road 22 (Church Street) Picton. It is the old air base up on the heights.

Is there any chance someone from the Toronto area is planning on heading up to spectate that could pull a truck? Not 100% sure I have a tow up there but Id love to make it. Thanks
If your have them, then use them. If your car didn't have them from the factory, they are not going to say no. That is what the waver you sign at the gate is for.

and an i-phone for your times. haven't figured that one out yet.
I haven't seen any timing equipment at any of these events yet.You race ,your car is ahead ,you win. There is some kind of elimination for different classes you can enter, but that is it so far.Its simple and fun. Ed
Had a blast today. The new cam and manifold worked great. Most of the Ratlers made it and it was great to see Blue Chev and Mustang Sally again after the long winter,Sally she had been shooting pictures and they had to go ,hope she got some of the event she could maybe post.Lightspeed Mike was there and his truck was running fine and he was smiling the whole time especially after he beat that tuner, score another one for the rat rod guys.Happiest guy there was Chevy Boy he said he was just happy to get the truck out of first gear in his driveway and be able to drive it, he was grinnin from ear to ear after his runs.Met Shag to day and really enjoyed his Chevell what a nice ride and his run with Fast Chevy was one of the best I saw all day.I saw Pistenbroke at his booth and yes I will get that wireing harness installed soon. I raced T.J. a couple of times and as usual he kicked my ass ,one of these days that banana coloured 57 wagon is going down, but there was the fun of hearing my bondo bucket squeeling it tires going off the line, made everything else worthwhile. The weather was perfict and the Armdrop guys put on a fantastic event. The runs went off quickley so there wasn't much time waiting in the stageing lanes. We were able to pick who we wanted to run and the staff were more than happy oblige. There were some awsome rides in the car and bike show, faves were a beautiful green 57 Chevy and a bronzey coloured chopper.A beautiful day, surrounded by friends and the car didn't blow up this time. Thanks to the Ratlers,Grumpy,Porkchop,Fatstax,T.J.,Keith and Al(got to do something about those last 2 names),for making this a fun day with the club,The Boy and Sacotu werent able to make this time, hopefully they will make the next event. Many thanks to the Armdrop guys for all there hard work in putting on a really great show. Ed
Had a wonderful day. Met many of the Ratlers and made quite a few passes and a few friends. Learned a lot and have made a few friends, great day and im looking forward to next time
had a great day. got 3or 4 passes in and met a bunch of fellow guys from this forum. best pass for me was with fast chevy. man that little ride of his has some get up and go. it caught me completely off guard. his nova is a true reflection of what old school is all about. met a bunch of the rattler's as they were canvassing the crowd for donations to help off set their costs for getting there as 3 of them had, lets say a pay toll for i think it was 118kph. lol sorry guys, had to. you guys have to put a leash on that chio-pet of yours. lol biggest bitch of the day was with traction. there was none. could of tried letting some air out of the tires and air bags but i didn't bring my compressor if i went to far. all an all it was a great day hooking up with some old friends and meeting, hopefully, some new one's.
Had a great day also, met some new friends, and even the wife had a great time. She told me that I better get the Biscayne done for the next one,We will try to keep the chia-pet tied up,but if it gets loose, look out scout lol :)

Hey LightspeedMike, I was looking at the Armdrop facebook page and there you are ,running the 41Willies and that super cool TCoupe. You were busy, and I thought you were just going for hotdogs. How did you do in those runs.
Shag ,It doesn't matter what you call him ,just don't feed him after midnight. Ed

I didn't really race either of them. Brad came over and asked for a few publicity pictures for the the show. We had Bob Beazer doing the arm drop. Also Mandy dressed in her best flag women attire doing the start.
Shag, I think your traction problem might be from your 572 Dart solution. Very nice car by the way. I saw you there but didn't get a chance to say hello.
