Ok, this is a bit off topic but along the same lines of Government stupidity. I have an intersection near me that has a set of traffic lights for cars, another set of lights for pedestrians, and recently they have added another set for bicycles. All three sets are set up to operate at the same time so they are all green, or all yellow, or all red.

Another intersection is having a concrete median installed to divide the east and westbound lanes. There is no roadway to turn left where this median is installed and pedestrians are advised to cross on the other side of the intersection so I'm not sure why they installed a concrete barrier. Possibly a government administrator had a friend with extra concrete to dispose of.

I feel better now after venting.

On my old Ford Explorer - the engine light was one for four years. And it got e-tested twice in those four years - passed easily both times with nearly all zeros.

The light was on because of a lazy o2 sensor - it took longer than prescribed to get to operating temperature. Worked perfectly after the engine was running for a few minutes.

Not sure if you still have that same vehicle, but it would not pass with the new emission laws that came into effect the beginning of this year. We're only 6 months into the new rules, so there will be a lot of pissed off motorists in the next 18 months. I'm hoping and praying 2014 kills the Drive Clean tax grab and boots the Liberals out of power !!!

Just had our 2005 Yukon e tested....and it passed with no issues. Just wanted to give a positive report even though I do not support the change in program (or the program at this point).
