Gave my rochester 4 jet carb off my 348 engine to a mechanic to rebuild. Got the kit and he disassembled it but both floats had gas in them. Cant seem to find replacement floats, Any chance someone may have one of these carbs with good floats or another carb that may fit my intake. It is basically two two barrel carbs put together, all for holes are the ame size not like a newer rochester with bigger secondaries, Car rebuilders in TO said you cant get the floats anymore. Thanks Steve
Can you still read the part numbers?? Try www.rarenosparts.com I've never used them before, I just searched to see what I could find and found this. Hope it helps.

Before you try to do any soldering, read this: www.thecarburetorshop.com/Carbshop_parts.htm There is good info towards the bottom of the page to know before you try to repair them floats.

Another great guy to deal with is Cliff Ruggles in Ohio, he has being restoring and modifying Quadrajets for decades.
If he doesn't have the parts he can get them.

Iv repaired a few floats using this method . comes in handy with stupid snow blowers and lawn mowers that they want you to buy a new one instead of a 5 dollar part.
Simple to do and I have tested the theory use an iron. Carb shop you will see him post on some other sites as the carb king.
Google Allstate Carburetor, I've bought from them and have been real happy with every encounter. They carry just about everything you would ever need for all makes of carbs. Prices are good, shipping is reasonable, and turn around has been fairly quick. If you can repair what you have, even temporarily, that would be great. It would tie you over until you get new parts.
Floats are soldered and carb is on but not without issues, Wondering now if I should replace with a different carb, Any suggestions as to what would fit onto my 348? Carter 600 AFB?
