so, the 40 was deemed to much work, traded it for an 85 Trans Am, real healthy 355, very pretty car for what it was, sold that, bought an S10 for a ridiculously low price, 383, TH350, mini spooled rear, lots of go fastparts and it really did haul, straight traded that for an 89 droptop vette, the only purpose of the vette was to sell, which i did in 5 days, so i was up about 7k from shuffling and trading, put half in tje bank amd got back to my roots, went looking for a beater, 4door or 2door , 60'sor 70's, had to be mechanically sound but all kinds of Patina. Found a 1970 Mercury Meteor coupe, 53000 orig miles, 2 owners. Paint is completely faded, unsaveable, vinyl roof has some cracking and fade, zero rust. frame, floor, suspension are almost showroom clean, 390 2v, C6, 9". only mod was dual exhaust. Left at 2am last Fri, drove 450km to huntsville, arrived around 630am after dodging moose and deer through Algonquin Park, met the owner, paid fornthe car,  then jumped in and drove it back in 40* weather lol. Didnt even check the oil! Car runs amazing, gets better mileage then my grand marquie or my wife's charger. brought it to work, cut 3 coils out of the rear and 2 up front. Ordered bullet  caps and lugs from ebay, theynshould be here this week. Car is unreal, it needs a motor mount which i will do tommorow, and thats really it! im changing nothing cosmeticaly other then some old school pin striping if i can find someone local who isnt horribly expensive. going to put some tunes in it next weekend, will try smd leave the functioning 8 track in it tho. the Family loves it, my wife can actually drive it, and its alot more my style then mynlast few cars. It looks like it will be a keeper for 2 reasons, 1- i love it, and 2- it takes a "special" someone to want something this big and this ugly. thnks for reading and here are some pics

Thanks everyone, appreciate the comments. Painted the front wheels tonight, had to open the wheel bore a bit to slide my bullet centers in. Managed to cook my ancient drill using a carbide bit for like 30 min solid per wheel lol. But front are done, will bring the rear wheels to the shop tommorow and use air. Then I will toss some pics up.
