Big weekend for car events. I am going to go to the Orillia SHow. I have not been for a few years but it is going to be a nice weekend, So I guess I will head out to orillia Saturday morning. ANy Ontario Rodders going from the fourm. Would be nice to meet some fellow car guys.
Huh? Really? Good luck with that and don't buy any 50/50 tickets as it is not 50/50 more like 90/10 for the promoter. We have boycotted this show for over 10 years as it only lines the promoters pockets. Nothing to do with charity you pay to show your car so they can pay the bands to perform on the street. I helped set this show up the first year and they pulled this crap at the 12th hour. It was supposed to be no charge for the car owners. But the B.I.A had different ideas. I have and will pay $30.00 to go to a show as long as the funds go to charity. Two years ago the 50/50 money disappeared buy days end last year the 50/50 winner got 250.00. We can do this sometimes on a long weekend cruz night with less than one hundred cars. Sorry for the rant but this show has caused a lot of bad blood between the local car guys and the promoters. If you do go just park on a side street and don't pay at all. Just sayin
