I would try the best I could to find a tank rather than boiling and repairing..but if it only needs boiling I had one done @ kydds rad shop on Hamilton rd or Horton street can't remember they were right near Adelaide, in London. Still cost me about $100bucks or a little better but it still didn't get it really nice inside nothing like a new or good one ..Another thing you have to deal with on an old tank that has been etched inside with any rust or corrosion is ethanol fuel which is pretty corrosive and will continue to erode a iffy tank..and any metal tank especially since we tend to store our rides for long periods do some searching you may find a poly tank available or one you could modify..
So what is the story on tank sealent.Good ,bad, does it last ,costs.I phoned a couple of places and they said it isn't done anymore.A tank for my wagon is hard to find and expensive. Ed
Ya I tried once with an old washer tub a fill solonoid, some copper tubeing, and an left over compresser and all I got was cold sudz in the carb.Didn't run well at all. Ed
Kydd rad closed up shop a few years back.
Too bad, Bill was one of the best a/c guys around. He was still doing some custom work out of a shop by the airport but haven't talked to him in a few years.
There is a "sealer' thats Eythanol friendly, make sure you use this type, had mine done in Lindsay for the 52 & "new' stuff is BLUE in colour, think it was around $135 Old product sealer gets eaten away by the eythanol & will cause BIG problems with clogged lines, filters etc

Going to go to Ace rad for them to have a look at it. I'm going to take my rad there at the same time since it will need to be gone over as well. Thanks all!
