I'm going Saturday to try to find a new owner for my Chevelle. Its been quite a few years...do they still have a car corral for car sales and what is the old boy charging?
Chris
They do have the car corral. I don't know what they charge. The single booths are $160, private porta potty is $150. I would imagine $75 but I'm guessing
Been going to Barrie for more years than I care to mention....starting back at Molson Park. I agree with the comments about the quality of stuff at this place. Too many foreigners trying to sell knock offs cheap and too many artsy fartsy sellers. Wheres the rule that there had to be a percentage of stuff auto related. On the good side of the weekend, me and the guys I went with weren't much into golfing, fishing, hunting and general carousing and this was our weekend away from the rat race. Even though I'm not going this year mostly because I am not looking for anything at this time and the stuff was getting downright junky, I will still miss the camaraderie from talking with car guys and having a good time doing something other than work. It would be nice to have a go at another market someday that is as big as Barrie but at this time its the closest one to home.
Left the house at 5:30, stopped for breakfast...by the time I got on the 407 it started raining. I got as far as the 400, had my buddy check the forcast for Barrie and turned around and went home. Bummer. Breakfast was good.

overall barrie was pretty good, i sold alot of stuff and picked up some neat stuff, 10 inch wide slot wheels, new shifter for the truck, mac tools tool box etc
etc.
got hassled by hanneys daughter about my barstool which is to be expected. rained off and on saturday but it wasnt that bad. seemed to be over pretty
quick in my opinion. funniest part of the show was where i bought the tool box, the guy was selling these super wipes made from micro fibres, he told me
that they could not be ripped in half, i thought to myself challenge accepted and i took hold of the cloth, it was pretty strong but i ripped it in half. the fellow
had a look on his face of pure shock, i apologized and said gee im sorry about your cloth, he said no its not a problem he had never seen anyone tear one
in half before. i also scored a mess of scrap rims and other neat junk, i cant wait for the spring show.
