I saw it in its very early stages. Floor pan repair and 270 Hemi nearby. I was down there with WUGA delivering his A. Didn't get to go on the return trip. Must have been something I said. (:>) Coming along nicely.

Jeff,

All kidding aside, I hope you make it for Detroit.  Seriously, upstairs or "THE BASEMENT".  Inquiring minds want to know

Torn between two floors....and friends on both! I'm saying upstairs because the car is amazing, not that the basement Isn't cool, I love the downstairs and look forward to it every time I go, but if you can build a car worthy of the top floor that's where Id be.

Give us some more info on that sweet little red ram! I have a rebuilt 241 laying around I would like to use some day, probably in a 26-27 T roadster.

Where did you get that hurst style engine mount and blower manifold?

RacerRick… The mount is from Speedway. cheap.120 bucks,

The engine was built by Karl from TDC engines in Kingston.. great guy.40 over Ross Forged blower Pistons,Real Clay Smith cam springs and lifters, etc, etc, etc……Complete Supercharger from Hampton with manifold… Running a dual carb set up…. should perform excellent.

A little more progress from the talent at the Candy Factory.
Just want to make sure all know..This is all Neil's work… he is truly a very talented individual.
We live so very far apart I wish i could be there every day.. but This is Neil's complete build.
I just draw this stuff….. he is the one with T A L E N T .

The 41 dash is installed
I had fun with Wuga and Neil yesterday…. Wuga's Dog Spit is an Awesome build too…. The shop was filled with Hotrods and Drag cars.
Anyone who needs work from small to Large should seriously give Neil a call. Truly amazing work.

Looks great Jeff! Anxious to see it in Detroit. You'll have to stop by the ELTA (and friends) display downstairs and have a brew with us.

What am I looking at, on the side of the cowl, just above the pitman arm?

That is a copper shroud over the pitman arm that Neil hammered out. The orange is just reflection. It is an awesome piece of work, Neil probably built cathedrals in a former life.

Here's a better angle, looks like the orange isn't just a reflection.

With it being copper and everything else (visible at the moment) being either painted, chromed or polished aluminum, it REALLY stands out.

Thanks everyone.
The small orange things you see are just small orange screwdrivers holding the cover in place.

thanks again.

Jeff,
you and the "Candy man" will get well deserved platitudes at Detroit. The car will be great upstairs or down.

Well here is the D.A.D. Coupe at Cobo Hall this past weekend. Jeff did an amazing job on the life size model box for his display. Jeff received a top 100 pick from Street Rodder Magazine. It was a great time :)

The car is truly impressive and the Faux kit box was a great touch - I heard many possitive comments when I was within earshot.
I took a few high shots with my "Camera on a Stick":

Wow!!…Fordy Acres. those shots are KILLER!!
Many many thanks to All for the kind words…The Candyman is a true genius.
The Detroit weekend was very fast and at the same time long.We had a Blast.I was very happy that Warren Grimm made the SRM "Street Shaker" Award and he got a very good many great comments on his car Dog Spit.
Warren is a great guy to hang with and he made us laugh constantly. The Elta crew had a magnificent display and the fellas were A-1.Mark and Rochie were always smiling and I wish i had more time to spend with the guys. The basement was off the chart and the cars were awesome.
The Canadian Content at Detroit was very high with a lot of very very killer cars. Some real young guns like Eric from LaSalle Ontario made a big impression with his 51 shoebox custom…. there was so much to look at and do… not enuff time to see all the folks I wanted too and chat.
We were glad to be a part of the 63rd show.
Again.. thanks to ALL for the very warm wishes and kind words.

nice ..
so very very nice

breaks my heart thinking that just the weekend before last I sold my old hemi so the dream of building something like this went north with it

sigh....

as a model kit builder I'd have to add the box is way way beyond "just cool"

I am not seeing how this car is cooled, it doesn't appear to have an engine driven fan. What type of fan does it use?
