Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this Forum.
My name is Brian (aka HOOKS) and I just purchased a "1930 Ford 2 Door Sedan"...now the reason this is in quotes is because the seller doesn't know for sure the actual YOM, as he bought it from a farmer that had it and didn't know what exactly it was. It is in pieces and from what I can tell, it is only missing the transmission and one rear fender.
The block that is coming with the car (not installed) is a flathead V8, which from a little research wasn't available until 1932. I checked the block number and from that research it came back as being built in Windsor Ontario in March 1932 (validity of the website unfounded as of yet).
Please check out the photos in "General Car Talk -- 1930 Ford 2 Door Sedan" to see if you are able to assist me with the definitive aging of this vehicle, as the patent plates are not installed any longer.
Thank you and I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible during my rodding days and nights.
