1932 Ford Flathead V8 Engine Block

I have a 1930 Ford 2 Door Sedan that I just purchased and it came with an engine block (not attached to the car) and the gentleman that I purchased it from said it came with the car.  Upon doing some research online and running the block casting number, I have found that it was originally built in March of 1932 in Windsor Ontario and is a flathead V8.

 

I have attached a few pictures and am curious as to what something like this is worth, since I will not be keeping the motor for my build.

Sorry...That is NOT a V8 flat head and really not worth much except possibly to a Concourse restorer and it looks pretty rusty too me..It looks like scrap metal to me..Sorry..you may somebody that wants it.... but....

see the 4 large holes just above the letters/numbers. those r cylinders. a 8 cylinder wuld have 8 holes. urs is a 4 cylinder. suggest u remove those pics as that letter/number combo might be yur serial number u register car with. dont need that info posted all over the net.

If was built in 32 it won't be your serial # for a 30 tudor. Did you get the intake carb exhaust etc As it sits a core is worth 100 bucks , striped and magnafluxed with paperwork   , tanked, 300 to 400 . same goes for the V8s . Ran when pulled doesnt fly and theres a better chance its scrap then good.  Id give you scrap price + 20 bucks to keep it from being shiped to china for scrap But Id rather see you sell it to someone that can do some thing with it.

I don't want to part with it for scrap for sure, but I also don't want someone to buy it from me at less than scrap price and then scrap it themselves.

 

I want to find someone who can use it for their project or future project, as my space is limited and I am only doing one project at a time.

If it is indeed a 32 block the valuable part of it has already been scavenged,the crank! I think you'll carry it to a lot of flea markets before you'll see the $100

honestly. This would be referred to as a "B" motor by the way.

unless it is a late 32 crank is not worth much. Late year cranks were balanced

Stick an ad in Old autos if you get that publication, worth a try that some restorer may pick it up.

SOLD the car and the block as well with it.

 

Moved on to a new project.
