Lots of high teck stuff back then.I have a vintage Philco radio at the shop that has a wireless remote with a dial like an old telephone .You would just dial up your favorate station and turn it on and off by pressing the finger stop. The remote is about the size of an old wall phone so not much chance of loosing it in the couch cushions. The year 1939,the origional cost according to the catalogue that i found in it ,$300.a lot of money at the time. I think this is what he has in mind . Was a common conversion by sevice stations. Droped with tall wires or artillary wheels it should be killer .

i think that would be awesum as a truck (seriously). i would much rather that as a truck than as a family truckster (4dr).

sure hope he has doors for it as they might be real hard to find.

Another high tech item from 1940 from Oldsmobile was an optional radio sound control. A small fan mounted on the intake manifold, turned a reostat that raised or lowered the radio level, this fan was spun by the engines cooling fan, this would increase the radio volume to overcome road noise the faster you went.
