I just got handed a large box of those plastic film canisters you used to get with 35mm film when you bought it. Some are black and some are clear. They are new with tight fitting caps. The only thing I can think of is using them for urine samples. Any other ideas?

Just thought of one,,,,,fill them with car wash soap and just throw one or two in the bucket each time you wash your car.

Small parts, like E clips, tiny bearings, etc, if it is the same canisters i'm thinking of.
I have a bunch full of odds and ends, always good to save little stuff, saved a trip to the store a number of times.

I think you are the winner so far Dan. Portable, pre-loaded shooters. Perfect.

I sometimes use them for traveling light. Add shampoo, toothpaste from economical family size containers and take up less room. Roadster and Motorcycle guys will likely already have a similar routine with space being at a premium.

At home I use these film canisters for storing collectible coins.

Like said earlier, I also keep a supply of these for small parts that I remove from projects, same idea as Ziploc bags.

Put two holes in the top Run some fine wire through it pack it tight with some black powder. Put it in sand box and install a knife switch and battery. Do it wrong and there will be no need to cut off fingers. Or if you want to see a golfer crap his pants sandtraps are fun.

Poke a hole in the top, wind up solder on a pencil, put in the container with it coming out the top and you have a solder dispenser. Just pull it out as you use it.
