ok, so trying to finish my interior  - and the seat trims are made of polypropelene plastic

Is there anything out there that will make paint or glue stick to this stuff?

I need to make them a different shade of grey

I already tried various spray adhesives in the hopes of covering them with the same seat materials with  no luck

I sanded and then treated with acetone, and then lacquer thinners - still no luck

HELP!!  cuz otherwise my very nice interior is gonna look awfull with the original ugily gray that they are

thanks

Ken

Are you trying to paint it or glue fabric to it ? some more detail on whats going wrong might help. If I remember right I think Keeper had a similar problem trying to glue fabric on his bucket . Id message him if he doesn't jump in .I know for a fact that  some base resin's will lift the first coat of paint if you try to rush it ware you would have no problem on metal. Carefull with the acetone. spoils your day when you set your head on fire.

well I wanted to glue fabric to the plastic - but when you place the material on the plastic it just lifts the glue right off the plastic in sheets

I will resign myself to trying to paint match the fabric and spray paint it if I have to

Ken,

This might be what you want for a color change on cloth, plastic, vinyl or leather. I've used it many times and works great,

This stuff will stick to anything and never lets go.
