That's an old tank (I think?), aren't those calibration/hydro test stamping dates. If so, it kinda missed a few years, between '62 and '82.

ok this tank was made in 1937, its a linde tank, a german made tank, that little box next to the 37 is a swastika, stamped into a box for obvious reasons.  this tank has been certified almost 24 times.  my buddy said he had another tank that was stamped 1917, almost a hundred year old cylinder!

The swastika was in use hundreds of years before Hitler showed up.
There was a town in Ontario named Swastika.
The sign has something to do with balance and equality.
Over in India or Pakistan, the swastika was used.
Some faced the opposite way.

Looking at the top of the tank, I see "THE".
That is not a German word.

unless a tank rots out or becomes damaged they simply re valve the tank and its good to go, i would have to think tanks must have some kind of limit though but it looks like they dont

Agreed, you would think there would be an age limit due possibly to fatique/stress, from being knocked around/moved , asked my chum, as he cut the end out of one to weld a plate on it for an air tank on a truck, and he said the wall thickness was around 1/4 inch.

Interesting topic, thanks again for posting this neat info.
