Great post Larry, In my opion that is a great thing to do for a racer friend who has passed on!!
A number here will remember the " Winged Express" AA/A of Wild Willy Borsch.

His old partner "Mousy Marcellis" ( He and willy were together for years travelling the circuit), has restored the car, and with a new driver, once again are back on the circuit, With "Willies" ashes riding in an urn inside the Altered.

That car with Willie at the tiller, has got to be one of my favorite cars to see, going sideways, with Willie just cool as all getout with one hand on the car, and the other on the wheel.

Ageed parklane, That car was unpredictable at times leaving the line, and did see pics of it even changing lanes!! Willy liked to put on a show! Lol
Reading their biography i was surprised to read that willie had suffered from Narcolepsy, and would fall asleep in the staging lanes, requiring mousey to bump the push bar to wake him up to make a run!! Lol
Those AAF/A were a crazy thing to drive with that short wheelbase!!

of course they would allow that, what i found out after my stepfather/best friend died is you dont need a hearse to transport the casket, i could have taken him to the grave yard in the back of his truck, i drove it for the last time that day to the burial with my mom, i built the truck for him and i figure he would have wanted to travel in style.

A good friend of mine was taken to his grave site by transport. Him and his son died in an accident together and both rode on the back of the flatbed.  Very fitting way for them to go considering who they were and the familys history of trucking in Ontario.

Is this hearse from Ontario? There is a fellow on the Impala forum that has a funeral home and a couple of the B body wagons and cars. I have a '94 Caprice SS with the LT1.
