Dang that's what 13,800 RPM's sound like. The bike was tapped out at 299 k's , somewhere close to 13,000 but the tach was still climbing. Kinda sounded like it was going to grenade, he held there so long.
cool vid. some run-of-the-mill mercedes models have insane power right from the factory (meaning not a super special one like the mercedes/mclaren slr with the gullwing doors). i do know that some of mundane looking ones come with over 500 hp from the factory and there really isnt anything that makes them standout and appear that powerful (like you would assume power if you saw a ferrari, lamborghini, mclaren trucking down the road). fast IS cool and fun but the look/appearance of that car just doesnt do it for me.
btw a yamaha R1 is a very fast bike ...... just not quite fast enough for that mercedes.
My neighbour had a ML63 AMG for 4 days last week and took me for a ride. There are not enough HOLLYSH!TE bars on the passenger side. taking Gardner/QEW on/off ramps at 120, 0 to 100kms in 4.6sec. had it up to 210 for a short jaunt.
That bike was on the rev limiter for a long time. I agree, it was going over 299 with the revs still climbing, I guess the display was only good for 299 - who's going over 300 any way? THIS GUY!!!
Oh, and the car is quick too, but I'd like to see a cost comparison!
