Thanks Janice, the first three i have identified, Rudy Helds "Gold Gambler",

"Doug Brinjak's Hippy Hemi", The next is The late Lloyd Noxell, another London Ont. racer, but so far have been unable to identfy the third, "The Leeeliminator" dragster.?

(Note the "Striped Pants" on the girl in the last pic, they were the "in" thing back then! Lol)

First pic, Sasquatch nailed it, Rudy Held's "Gold Gambler", there's not very many pics of that Opel. It met it's demise on an exhibition pass in the late '80's, Rudy wasn't driving it anymore.
Rudy and Rich did have plans on rebuilding it, it was still at the shop not so long ago. I'll have to inquire to see what will happen to it.

Just found out something about The Leeeliminator name:

Lee Eliminators was an advertising promotion for Filter Dynamics Corp/brand name Lee Oil Filters....
I had an associate product/cash sponsorship from them for many years.
I think Lee Oil Filters disapeared in the middle 80's..We used to do displays for them all over the country
at retail outlets like Lowes Stores..We would be passing out pics and watching hefty ladys carrying bags of furtilizer out of the stores! The display sites were as far removed from drag racing as you coud think of..
Lodi,NJ...Way Upstate NY..once outside Corporate Headquarters in Ohio..
The good part was they sent along a couple of cuties to man the booth(called "TEAMMATES").....girls from a modeling agency on the way up.I stayed in touch with some of them for a long time.
When I saw the pic of the Castronovo car that was the first thing I noticed.I sure wish that deal was still around. That was the travelling and motel money,a set figure at the start of the season, free products they represented plus $500 an appearence.and the hand out cards.

The auction for Rudy was last weekend, it was all the usual rural household stuff, weedwacker, riding mower, ATV's, furniture, etc...

There was nothing at the auction related to Rudy's racing, all that is still at the shop.

Here's another pic of the Opel.

The performance shop has been a bit slow these last few years, partly due to the street racing laws, MOE etc...but the guys just keep plugging away.

It's a family business, and Rich and Ron will carry on.

You know what? Doug Brinjak's Hippy Hemi looks an awful lot like the Altered I was thinking was High & Mighty from years back. I must have confused a couple cars/names in my mind, or my eyesight was a little blurry at the time. I'll blame a mis-spent youth. Thanks Janice, that solves that mystery for me.

There was a "High and Mighty" roadster, or altered, but can't remember were or when.

Brinjak's Hippy Hemi altered was the first .'High and Mighty". It was called that by the original owner[I believe his name was Jim Parsons] and it dominated A/SR [a/street roadster]. He sold the car to Brinjak and built another 'High and Mighty' that was even quicker.I believe before the name 'Hippy Hemi ' Brinjak called the car 'Goat T'. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
