I am giving my mothers Toyota Camry to my daughter in Waterloo...   had it certified and needed a E-test (for Waterloo)   Took it to Exeter for test   2002  96,000km   in at 1pm  out at 1:19   $39.55    sheet says passed  NO actual reading results    Good for me   all set

Liberals refuse to immediately end illegal Drive Clean surplus

Ontarians will still be forced to overpay for Drive Clean at a cost of $19 million a year

 

QUEEN’S PARK – The Liberal government has been caught red handed imposing a multi-million-dollar illegal tax on Ontarians for two years through its Drive Clean program, PC Environment Critic and Kitchener-Conestoga MPP Michael Harris said today.

 

“When I asked the Environment Minister today if he would take immediate steps to end this illegal tax, he said he’d potentially get around to it next year,” Harris said. “That’s like getting caught for pick-pocketing and then telling the police you’ll stop in a few months from now. Wrongdoing should be corrected immediately, not when the perpetrator feels like it.”

 

Former Auditor General Jim McCarter found in his 2012 report that the Drive Clean program had gone into surplus last year by $11 million. He then advised the government to eliminate the surplus because the Supreme Court of Canada has ruled it is unlawful to make a profit off of a revenue-neutral program. 

 

“Instead of listening to the Auditor General, the Liberals ignored his advice and nearly doubled the illegal Drive Clean surplus,” Harris said. “Under the Liberal government, Ontarians are now paying $19 million dollars in illegal Drive Clean taxes every year.”

 

The Liberals were also caught earlier this year trying to increase Drive Clean fees by another $18 million. Cabinet documents revealed that the Liberals had approved this massive hike in principle on top of the existing surplus in spite of the Auditor General’s warning.

 

“It’s clearer than ever that the Liberals’ support for the Drive Clean program has nothing to do with the environment; it’s just about the money,” Harris concluded.

The rest of us could enjoy that feeling, if we would quit the sniveling and whining about it, get off our lazy a$$'s and get engaged with the government that bleeds us ..but me thinks it's so much easier to just sit on our duff in the confines of our key-board world and whine about all the injustices charged to us so the government can continue to do to us all the things we can just whine about...We just love to whine!!!!!!!!!!!  Just because your not involved with the government does not mean the government is not involved with you...So you either get involved or be governed by those who are involved...there are governments who do not support the drive clean....Drive clean has served it's purpose and now has just become another tax revenue tool for the lying Crooked Liberal government ..If I were to just move across the highway from my place I would be exempt...that is just how stupid this e-test ..Keeping the air clean..WHAT A JOKE ..now is the time to continue to send e-mails or letters of support to those who are in favor of dissolving this tax REVENUE tool and letters and e-mails to those who continue to steal, mismanage, lie, and still spend , spend, spend, on gas plants, Orange, health Scams, and lets notget for the College of trades revenue tax, the Pan Scam games and I will bet many of you could add to my quick morning rant!!!!!  

 

Now I will finish my coffee and try to get my blood pressure lowered ..every time I think of these crooked lying BAS-TURDS  I lose it ......an election can't come soon enough for me..

This is a Load of "CRAP" & everyone knows it's a money grab. Lib. scandle after scandle & now this. When will the NDP see the light & stop propping up these "BAFFOONS" or are they afraid to, & may loose their "plum" positions & just keep going & taking us down with them???
