Hey guys! I just joined the forum looking for some information on emissions testing (of course). Cool cars on this site. I have a 74 Dodge Dart that I converted 100% electric. Fun project with lots of torque. Hardest part was installing the Ron Francis wiring kit.
My next project for the winter is to replace the supercharged 3.6L engine in my 91 Porsche 911 with a 6.2L 430 hp GM e-rod engine. And pass drive clean.
My eDart has the Bill Reilly Alterkation with Wilwood brakes and power R&P, Hydroboost plus Wilwood master cylinder, electric brake pump, led headlights, 5 speed chevy s10 nv3500 transmission with stage 4 clutch, 8 3/4 rearend with custom Moser axles, Caltracs plus split mono-leaf springs, 50 180AH lithium iron phosphate cells from Thundersky, Warp11 series wound DC motor from Netgain, Zilla 1Khv controller from Cafe electric, using 2/0 cabling, Manzanita micro pfc75 chager.
Funny thing, I have had your Dart in my favorites for years. EV's have always interested me. Especially now that the ministry will acknowledge the conversion on the ownership.
Can't wait to see more on your 911 upgrade. Fastest Porsche I've seen had a SBC in it.
Welcome aboard from SW Dorchester! Wow, a very ambitious rodder!!!! Just wondering about the Dart - Is it a economical commuter, or a dedicated race toy or a "do it all" race car/commuter? Did you do all these mods because it wouldn't start in the rain? Pretty cool in any case!
