Its pretty much driveable but cars are always endless projects.
I'm planning to put air suspension on it, new interior and lots and lots of body work.
I'd like to get it bagged and the interior cleaned up with minor exterior fixes for spring.
The third brake light has to go as well as I have to find a grille for it. I'd love to do something custom with the grille.
Just to give a small background on me. I've had 5 Mustangs - 2 of them being 11 sec. capable. I have built a 2000 Lexus LS400 recently.
I love to play with cars. I'm not a purist or have any special love for a specific brand or model.

LS400 - LS460 front bumper merged with stock bumper, rear bumper sectioned 4". Full custom ultra suede interior, audio and air suspension.

Hi guys,

Long time lurker. I was planning on building a 32 Ford sedan but when I realized I couldn't fit my 2 boys in the back I decided against it.

I just picked up a 1946 Pontiac Torpedo. It already has a front clip out of a Dodge Dakota and a rear end out of a GMC truck. It has a 305 and 4 speed auto.

It needs alot of work but I wanted a project. Gonna take a couple or more years.

Here she is:

Welcome from Belleville. I always really liked the look of the torpedo back GM.
What are your plans for it?

I just happen to have an LS400 manual conversion kit. 5 Speed Supra box and custom bellhousing and performance clutch. Just in case you or the owner is interested.

Wow! I'll let the new owner know. I'm glad I didn't know about this sooner. Might have never sold her.... ;)

I was building a V8 Mazda MX5 before I came to canada, so it was destined for that, but never made it. A manual 1UZFE would be amazing.

Nice starting point on the Torpedo back. They can be made to look cool in many different build styles too! Happy building and keep us posted with regular progress reports!!!

Thanks for the responses!
I'll definitely keep you posted on its progress.
Trying to convince a guy to ship me a grille from California as we speak. He's reluctant though. Don't know why.

Greetings from Trenton. Really like what has been done to the headlights. '53/'54 Cadillac?

They're 57 Chevy headlights.
I like the concept but not really liking the execution.
