WOW was that fun! Sound great,I have been thinking of getting a 496 built, does it pull hard? My buddy is a engine builder here in Port Hope and says that combo should be good for 500-550 hp.

Love that car Kurt. Great fall shots of it. I think I will make it my background for a while.

I have never run at the track. Spent a good part of my younger years crewing and running front/rear engine dragsters and pro street rides. I have no desire to get back into it...even for a day, but you never know. Besides without making a pass it will always be a low 10 second car...lol. I have not dyno'd the engine but I'm told a similar engine by the same builder using AFR 315cc heads made some pulls in the area of 580hp/600tq but I cannot confirm those numbers. Might dyno it and dial it in again in the spring.

Thank You for the kind words. I hope it encourages others to show and tell their rides...finished or not...Just Say'n

We built a similar motor several years ago with 11.4:1 compression, well ported merlins, and a stout roller cam, and it did an honest 640hp on pump gas. It had a wicked solid roller from Bullet in it though...
