All steel body. When he bought it the intake was all for show. It's was sitting on a 4 barrel intake. All the belts turned and it was not until a close look you could see the gap on the manifold. He drove it a bit then has torn it down to nothing and now it has a blown 392
4 speed. New floors and a lot of metal work.
friend i used to work with has a brother who lives near a guy whos working on a red willys coupe. i was supposed to get a look at it a couple years ago but for whatever reason it just never happened. wonder if thats it. the car i speak of supposedly came up from california or arizona or somewhere down there and used to be a drag car and i think i remember being told it had an early hemi in it. this was 2 or 3 years ago. i might be wrong on this but im thinking i was told the owner also owned a very nice 70-72 cutlass rag. wonder if that guy is cousin pete.
i cant imagine taking that car apart as it looks just fantastic as it is.

Cousin lives out near Uxbridge. This was owned by the brown brothers and was built to look like their willys they use to race.It did come from Arizona way I believe. It did have some plastic in it as well as about 3 or 4 layers of floor sheet metal in it. He has a guy working on it in his shop. He does have an amazing olds 442 rag top. Probably same person.
Early indications from the armdrop guys are that they are negociating for three dates this year May,July and Sept. There was also talk last year that one of the dates might possibly be a weekend thing . So get those Gassers out of the garages and ready to race next year. We might just be able to reignite the Gasser Wars,Ontario Rodders style, wouldn't that be a blast. Ed
It has been a while for sure Brian, I haven't had much to post, a lot of the things I've done on the car are things no body really see's. I have the bumpers to install, door seals and some other little things I'm pretty much done! Not bad considering I was hoping to have it on the road for June of 2013, Oh well that plate sticker went to waste.

I have seen Hotroddonnies '57 in person, there are no pictures that can do it justice!! There is no part that has been left untouched, the workmanship is amazing! Donnie is a perfectionist and the car reflects that quality, I just don't know how he has the patience.
Just got thinking I might have a couple shots of a local friends Gasser 64 Fairlane(?) really a nice clean car 500 something cubic inches, not sure what trans right now as it seems he's been unhappy and changing that since he finished the car.. Been everything from a five speed to a C-6 and a couple choices between I am sure. One of the cleanest home builds I have ever seen... 1966 Econoline axle...

No help here , but i remember hearing about a dodge like that from the London area, guy claims to have seen it at the old A&W on the east end of London.
This HJ belongs to Derrick Nowe of Ontario. Here is his story from henryjcars.com
Derrick Nowe 1953 Henry J Corsair project.
This car once belonged to my uncle David who raced it in the late 60's and early 70's. Some of my first drag racing experiences were going with him to the race track and watching him race. I sure was disappointed when he sold the car in the late 70's.
Fast forward to 2004 and while my family and I were visiting my uncle in Nova Scotia,Canada we starting talking about the old Henry J and I told my aunt and uncle if I could ever find that car I would love to have and race it like I remember my uncle doing when I was kid. After returning to Ontario,Canada I received a call about a month later from my dad and his first words were "We found Henry!". Needless to say I was ecstatic and told him I have to have it. I drove down the following summer and picked up the Henry J and have been slowly working away at getting it back to race track worthy. I hope to have the car ready to race again by summer of 2007. I will be trying to keep it looking as much as possible as when my uncle David raced it with the exception of the motor. Henry's going to be powered by a blown 331 Hemi now.
wonder if this car out of windsor and the car in the next post (appears to be run out of sarnia) are the same car.
Last name Dixon, from the Windsor area. This one, and his brother's '64 full size Pontiac were @ ST THOMAS this summer. These are very nice well built cars, and fast too! This is the second 'cammer' I have seen in my life. My friend Carl Lindsay owns the first one I ever saw.I saw his engine once with the intake off,the ports were large enough I could put a closed fist in.
