A Smile For A Monday Speeding In Ontario

Speeding in Ontario

1) Good: A Caledon OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) policeman had a perfect spot to watch for speeders, but wasn't getting many. Then he discovered the problem.  A twelve-year-old boy was standing up the road with a hand-painted sign, which read 'RADAR TRAP AHEAD'. The officer then found a young accomplice down the road with a sign reading 'TIPS' . and a bucket full of money.   (and we kids used to just sell lemonade!)

2) Better: A motorist was mailed a picture of his car speeding through an automated radar post in Kingston, ON . A $80 speeding ticket was included. Being cute, he sent the police department a picture of $80.  The police responded with another mailed photo of handcuffs.

3) Absolute Best: A young woman was pulled over for speeding. As the Ontario Provincial Policeman walked to her car window, flipping open his ticket book, she said, 'I bet you're going to sell me a ticket to the OPP Ball.' He replied ' OPP don't have balls.' There was a moment of silence while she smiled, and he realized what he'd just said. He then closed his book, got back in his patrol car and left. She was laughing too hard to start her car.

Couple of my buddies are York region. They were talking about a guy they work with who was doing radar one day and he stopped a fellow for speeding. It was a good bit over and the driver was really on his case about giving him a warning. He went back to his cruiser and wrote out the ticket and as he walked up the side of the car he said in a loud voice " warning Warning " and handed the driver his ticket.

This urban legend is funny too!

Four youths from Canberra, Australia pulled off a trick of breathtaking bravado in order to gain revenge on a mobile speed camera van operating in the area.

Three of the group approached the van and distracted the operator's attention by asking a series of questions about how the equipment worked and how many cars the operator could catch in a day. Meanwhile, the fourth musketeer sneaked to the front of the van and unscrewed its numberplate.

After bidding the van operator goodbye, the friends returned home, fixed the number plate to their car and drove through the camera's radar at high speed - 17 times. As a result, the automated billing system issued 17 speeding tickets to itself.

Go Aussies!

this is a bit ago. me and a buddy were on our way to texas to p/u 2 cars i had bought. not being in any hurry we would jump of the big road and cruise some back roads looking for stuff, cars, tractors, trailers, etc. anything old and different. somewhere in the boonies of arkansas on a hilly-curvey back road i was speeding along and a trooper comes over the hill the other way. looking in the mirror i knew i was screwed as he turns around. i find a place to pull over and the trooper comes up to the door and he was a real big coloured guy. sittin in the dually with the window down, its eye ball to eye ball, he's tall.
-do you know you were speeding--no sir. i turn to my buddy and flipped out on him about converting my km's to mph's and when i say flipped i can't put it on here. buddy tim is looking at me with his jaw around his belly button and i turn and tell the cop i am sorry and his only job on the trip was to do the conversion. he looks at the speedo and see's km and he asks for the paperwork. getting the papers out i am still cursing at tim. comes back to the truck and gives me my papers and then hands me another paper stating that it was an official notice that i had received a warning in the state of arkansas for speeding. if i get caught again it would be a much bigger fine.
-tim is just about pissing his pants laughing and can't believe i thought of it so fast. i say years of driving truck down here and playing the dumb canuck. we had a good chuckle for the next couple of days. get to my sisters house in san antoine tell her the story and she says she has played it, dumb canuck, a couple of times and her hubby, a yankee, says i don't think she is playing some times, blonde. lol
-still got the notice around here somewhere. the camino i just sold to 57150 was one of the cars we picked up. don't be shy, pull any trick you can. you are either getting a ticket or your not.

Lol. Years back i was driving an old van with just the two bucket seats.
Two of us were in the seats the third person was sitting kinda between us in a lawnchair.
Cop pulls us over after seeing this, starts ranging me over the lawnchair.
I say, well it only came with two seats! What difference would it be if the third person was in the lawnchair or standing up? Would standing up be legal then?
Cop was totaly confused, and after some more discussion, replied , ok, i just thought that wasn't safe.
We had a good laugh over that on the way back home.
