Well I'm glad I'm not the only one !! Haven't been able to play the latest games because my video card is too old, but loved splinter Cell, Call of Duty and all the Medal of Honor games. We have a PS3, but I've never liked the controllers. I prefer mouse and keyboard. Online gaming is the most enjoyable, and right now I play World of Tanks which is a free download. Doesn't get cheaper than that and it's excellent.
Tony Hawk, Duke Nukem and Doom were the only ones I played. (all on PC)
OH yea and when my kid had Super Nintendo, I use to kick her a$$ at Donkey Kong, but she would leave me in the dust in Mario Kart.
I think the last game I bought was pre x box, nintendo etc and was a late 80s indycar game for the PC. Awesome game, I also enjoyed DukeNukem on the PC, but have since passed the torch on to my boys (daughter never took any interest at all). My oldest(25) is in the military and is hardcore Call of Duty all the way, my youngest(20) is all over the map with all forms of racing, guitar hero and of course Call of Duty, which I find mildly entertaining to watch for short periods. I don't know what all the buttons are for on the controllers these days and don't have nearly enough interest to learn it - I'm OK with it.

I never spent money at the arcade either, like you, I had too many model kits, bike parts and albums to buy!
I did have an atari as a teen, but don't recall buying any games for it....Xmas and birthday gifts as I remember it, I only had a few games: Astriods, frogger, Chopper Command and such.

I must admit,Pong was not the only game I played, I was a huge pinball fan. Didn't hurt that my dad occasionally took one in on a car deal so we always seemed to have one in our basement.. I bought one the year my wife became pregnant with my twins ,came home from work one afternoon just before the girls were born and my wife was wimpering in the corner, yelled at me and told me the pinball had to go because she'd played it all day and when I got home she couldn't hold up her arms,haha.... Took 14 years before I was allowed to buy the next one, had it last winter and sold it about 6 weeks ago..

Great taste! Give "sleeping dogs" a try.
Have you got GTA V? I usually wait six months and snag them as game of the year or used or something...
I'm the same way never really play online. Played a little red-dead online, which didn't have to many dumb kiddies...
GTA 5 is a great game , really , and you can have choices in some missions to avoid a lot of the shoot-em-up if you wish .There are numerous side missions/hobbies/random events ...took me about a week to get 100% . Some of the radio stations are priceless , particularly the dumb-ass southern spoof , and the "Epsilon Missions " are a spoof of the Church of Scientology " B.S. ....I was laughing so hard I damn near fell off the chair .
