Thought I'd better jump on the Cristmas card Band-wagon
9 Months ago I boarded a plane with my family and dog, and headed to this place you all call home. A place WE now call home.
I had already made some cyber pals through Ontario Rodders, but not yet met anyone. My first introduction was at Pugsy's Metal Shaping weekend. I didn't have a clue what I was doing, so I chose to hang about with a guy who DID have a clue, but wasn't bothering to do anything that day, lol, hey Grumps! I also met Joe (34guy), Rich (slab) and Gilles (Gazoo) for the first time. My next venture out was the Ancaster swap meet, where I met HemiKev.
I have been blessed to have been welcomed by so many so quickly, without any agenda or expectation, so I give thanks for that. And for all the freebies you have thrown my way, like a grille surround from Joe, a front axle from Gilles, various metal and tools from HemiKev and a whole pile of goodies from Grumps, although technically I have to give it all back after losing a bet
And of course. thank you to Harry, for giving me a platform to meet you all in the first place.
Canada has been very kind to me and my family, and I am honoured to be a part of your culture and country.
I can't wait to meet more of you, and get my project off the ground (literally), and start contributing more to the hot rod scene.
Have a Happy and Healthy Christmas everyone! You are my new family.
Dave, it's been a pleasure to meet you and the Misses this past summer. You are to be commended for jumping right in with both feet and you fit right in! I'm sure it wasn't all smooth sailing and a bit of a culture shock, but we're happy to have ya here. Looking forward to more hot rodding adventures, starting with the 27th!

Dave may you and your Mrs also have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Hope to meet you both on the 27 at some ones place, can't remember his name.I think you know who I mean.
Hey Dave! How's it goin' eh? What kinda ugly sheep is that by the way?
First off, being a Canadian, I'll do what Canadians do best, and start with an apology... so here goes...I'm sorry.(You won't learn this from Glenn). I just don't know for what,...yet. But no worries, this response is just a "Mock up" of my eventual real response. I do have to say, I am very happy to welcome you and your family to your new home, and I wish you all the best on your first Canadian Christmas.
Did you get all your snow gear yet? Snow boots (not known as Welly's), snow hats, snow brush, snow shovel, snowman, snow balls (off topic)?
A sincere Merry Christmas from Brenda and I, to you guys!
Gilles
