I hope this puts a permanent end to this political party here before they completely destroy this province. That and our energy bill increase should drive the rest of our industry away and put us pensioners in the poor house. We've gone from the most prosperous province to one of the worst in the country under them. Remember what Tommy Smothers said about politics - it's from the Latin: poly meaning many and Tics meaning blood sucking parasites

Typical Ontarions...Onions...We are so wealthy nobody really gives a Donkeys butt..They should just round it up and make two-bits a liter that just might wake us up..As the large community that we are ...As Rodders we ought to be organizing a huge rod rally to Queens park just as soon as the weather permits for a huge show and protest against many Ont liberal bull-chit regulations that severely impact us directly in our hobby..stupid roadside Moe inspections ,as well as insurance costs, and fuel prices are just a couple things that come to mind..

They forget just how much we put back into our community's in the form of 100 different charitable events each and every year because they do not take care of the causes we hold shows and tours and several other events to help those that fall through the cracks...

Off my soap box and trying to stay calm...123456789......123456789...123456789..

Four year of jamming it to us. I really think they want to be at par with the U.K.. However it will be Ok with us passive Canadians we will just bend over a little further. Rat bastards!!!!!!!!!!!

The 'retards" are the voters that keep voting for the Liberals or "Fiberals" & the Feds are no better, here in N. Durham the Feds have announced twice now [both times at election yr.] that they will re-instate the commutor train from Peterbourgh to Toronto & up grade the line, so far not a penny has been put into the line & frieght train "lumbers" along at 10MPH on wobbly tracks. Any bets on when they announce it for the 3rd time??? hoping we all forgot that they said this before!!! Wynn's Gov is hoping we all forget the 'scandels" & mis spending on a "multitude" of other 'give aways' & think that the gas tax, bus. tax & uping the HST, we will think that this is a "good" thing??? NOT NOT NOT!!!!!!! Throw them out ASAP

Signed it too, but these jerks do what they want anyhow. Also wrote to my mpp (NDP Taras Natyshack) who never bothers to return any mail and is only seen when he gets a chance to talk on live TV. The NDP could stop this government right now if they wanted to but they'd rather go along with everything Wynn's government wants.

Don't get me going with gas prices.  I fill up in Michigan every week, a five kilometer drive, Nexus card, no more than five or ten minute wait on each side.  2006 F150 4x4 Supercrew and 2010 Mazda 3 GT.  I drive the truck over with two gas cans in the bed every week without issue, never questioned on fuel purchases. Tolls are $6.50.  Here is the breakdown for my trip over yesterday.

  • Sarnia, Ontario - $1.26 a liter, 60 liter tank on Mazda, 114 liter tank on the F150,  putting the total to $219.00 Canadian.
  • Port Huron, Michigan - $3.07 a gallon, 15.8 gallon tank on Mazda, 30 gallon tank on the F150,  putting the total to $140.00 U.S.\

Subtract the toll and the exchange and it equals ridiculous savings, why such disparity (I know ethanol content, etc...... but still).  It's crazy the taxes.  Don't even get me going about power costs...............................

Simply stated, a savings of $64.00 with purchasing gas state side for the week.  My question is why the disparity.  Esplain to me Lucy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I signed the petition, but it's not just the Liberals that are to blame
Last time I checked they had a minority government , so who the **** is supporting their bull****.
The opposition could have forced an election at any time but chose not to.

Gas prices are all over the map everywere. Gotta be a lot of gouging going on for years.
Eg:, two weeks ago the cheapest gas in Ontario was North Bay at only $1.08 per liter.
Today it is running $1.29 to $1.34 per liter.
Sturgeon Falls, 30 miles from North bay is ALWAYS cheaper than N. Bay, by 3-7cents per liter.
Diesel is another rip off, diesel around here is running now at $1.34 up to $1.41 per liter.
For decades Diesel was ALWAYS cheaper than gas, not anymore!! WHY??????
WE continually are getting screwed over BIG TIME by the gas monopoly.

^^ Diesel should ALWAYS be cheaper than gasoline - it less refined and therefore should cost less to process.

I just got my 'Truck news' & looks like Ont. is going to mandatory blend of BIO Diesel starting next yr [2014] Ontario Gov. says this is just one more step to having a "GREEN" Policy for the prov. More like "one more step" of shutting this place down Total B/S, would like to find the "backroom" deal made on this to whoever supplies the BIO mix & see how much "kickback" is involved???? Somebody is getting "something" on this deal, either the Gov. or the supplier?? Todays diesel's are running so clean, theres NO NEED!!!!

The NDP supported the liberals for every tax increase so far because they want to keep the CUPE and teachers federation happy. Mike Harris was the last to try and control spending, he left office with a triple A credit rating in ONT. Mcguinty ran away with a BB . The industrial tax base has shrunk immeasurably in the last ten years. 3 out of 5 people are tax employed or supported. Public employees are retiring in droves at age 50 with 40k pensions, all tax dollars. How long do you think we can sustain such bad management and who has the ability to take over, we're in big trouble

Pensions is partly what killed Detroit and other big American cities. How long before we follow. I am told that fully 25% of management jobs in our health care system could be eliminated with no noticible difference in health care delivery. Then we have the Orng air disaster and of course EHealth. How many doctors and nurses could we hire to improve the system with that money? Ed

Speaking of gas prices all over the map, I just returned from a motorhome trip down to Florida and back. I saw gas prices mostly in the .80/L range and even in the expensive areas of NY and Penn they were only no more then .89/L. Why, when we have all the reserves of oil, are our gas prices 50% more? I also heard today that the fiberals are giving us a Christmas present of a $5.00 reductions on the e-test but we have to wait for the Easter bunny to see it. We out perform most countries in the world today, but they still keep sticking it to us on the essentials. I'd hate to be someone relying on or running a trucking or other vehicular based company.

Warren

I've written to my (NDP) mpp several times about just that. He has never responded to one of my messages (Tara Natyshak) The only time you ever hear from him is when he gets a chance to spout off on TV. The NDP should have stopped backing this government a long time ago. I think they like the position they're presently in and don't care how much it costs us.
